Why does your 1989 corvette click in the rear end when you take off?
Sounds like you have bad U-Joints, If you keep driving it like that when the clicking stops the drive axle is fixing to fall out (a bad thing) David Steele
Why does your 89 corvette act like its starving for fuel after warming up?
make sure your fuel filter is good check fuel pressure while driving(run hose and gauge to windshield mount gauge under wiper so you can see pressure while problem occurs, if pressure is good about 28---38 psi have your mass air floe meter checked they had problems with maf relays also maf power relay and bad maf sensors check the wire in the sensor very closely with a magnifying glass if there seem to be fibres wrapped around the wire this gives the computer the wrong air flow reading. this is caused by cheap air filters or wet air filters the fibres can be cleaned very gently with a big sewing needle also they now have maf sensor cleaner which is safe to spray on filament good luck

How do you replace the passenger window switch 1992 corvette?
Very careful pry it out with a small thin flat head screw driver, put tape on the screw driver to keep from scratching the surrounding area
I had the same problem, and I I looked and posted on the corvette forum without much luck... however I Just fixed this same issue on my 1990... What I did to fix was to unbolt (not remove) the electric motor on the side I just replaced the bushings in and turn the motor 180 degrees in place, then bolted it back up.. Now the headlights are working correctly.
it depends on the year, but a new Corvette ZR1 could go 205-215 MPH
1985 Corvette keeps overheating?
Two different tests you can try. To check the radiator fan, raise the hood and start the engine. Wait until engine warms up to normal operating temperature and see if the fan turns on. If the fan doesn't turn on, the problem lies in a faulty relay or a bad fan motor. If the fan turns on, the problem lies elsewhere. To check the water pump and/or thermostat. Raise the hood, remove the radiator cap and start the engine. Keeping a safe distance, you will peek through the radiator filler neck for activity. When the engine reaches normal operating temperature, the thermostat should open and you should be able to see water circulating. My bet is on either a faulty fan/component or a stuck thermostat as your overheating problem.
How do you check or add transmission fluid on a 2000 corvette auto transmission?
Because the transmission is in the back of the car, GM did not give us a way to check this. The only choice is to use the drainage plug, with the car on a lift to check it as well as change it. Not to be done my the novice, most people go to dealer or repair shop to be done. Sorry for the bad news

1992 Corvette parking brake is stuck?
Check underneath the drivers side and make sure the cable is not busted. If the cable is good its likely your brake shoes have corroded to your drums and will need to be replaced, after you lube them and beat them off.
friggin moron, 92 corvettes have four wheel disc no drums, did you ever own a vette? check the cables, bozo was right about that. are you handy? or do you let the kids at pep boys fool around with your car? hows that for input...
Actually-the 1992 corvette uses a actuator collar which is very much like a big shoe using the rotor as a drum. The corvette parking brake handle is very different than most ebrakes: you pull it up and it retracts so you can get out of the vehicle...if you can not get it to disengage by puling it vertical and hitting the buttoning and slowly releasing to rest position, pull the drivers seat (4 bolts) and remove the ebrake cover to disengage the stuck lock mechanism in the ebrake tooth (teeth)

This is what I have had to do for my 94 cutlass supreme. Hold the hood release wire lever open from inside the car with a something - a screwdriver or some such thing. Then just pull up on the hood and voila, it releases the latch.
To answer your question out-right; The low retail value of an '82 coupe (non-Collectors edition) ranges from $7800 to $20,925 depending on condition and options, as well as milage and originality. Bolt-on aftermarket body panels, wheels, engine parts actually detract from the value of the vehicle. However, if it's something that you desire, and you're not interested in selling to a puristin the future, I say go for it! I've had more fun in a Corvette that wasn't "stock", because I wasn't as worried about what should happen to my one of a kind, pure, rare, Corvette while driving it on the road. Remember, you get what you pay for in most instances. There are several websites dedicated to the purchase of a Corvette. (What to look for, and the inherant problems of a particular model or year). As far as maintenance costs, it depends what is needed, or more likely what has been done in the past. This answer can't be answered directly, but figure oil changes (Synthetic oil), the differential changes take three pints of oil plus the posi/limited slip additive at about 7500 mile intervals. The regular wear items...brakes, shocks, tires, clutch, tune-ups etc. It's a little more costly to maintain a Corvette than some other vehicles, but the fact that you can still buy almost any part, for almost any model makes it unlike most any other vehicle. AND they're fun to drive!
I`m asking the same question about my 85 vette. The pump has been replaced three times in 70,000 miles. It startes as you stated with a hot start problem and then will not start at all. If anyone has been able to fix this problem I would sure like to hear from you. Mike
How do you reset the oil change light in a 1998 corvette?
Just changing the oil doesn't do anything to the gauge, hold reset button down until readout changes change the oil
Your vacuum system has a leak. If both of your doors stopped working at the same time, I would check up stream from the actuators. Check out docrebuild.com for diagrams and the parts.
