ONLY if it matches the correct resistance in your pellet in the key. There are 15 different values of resistance the key CAN have. When a BCM is first put in the Corvette it will read this key resistance value. SOOOOO- the BCM is forever embedded with this key value and can NOT be changed (maybe if it rebuilt by a place like Cardone- but I dont know about this and have never read this in any corvette forums). So theoretically 1 out of every 15 BCMs can be put in any corvette assuming that all corvettes have a random distribution of key pellet resistance values. Just another way of saying you have a 1 in 15 chance of success putting a BCM in another Corvette

you did not list year but it is hidden on the 82 corvette , located behind the computer(ECM) mounting plate next to battery , on the back side of black plate along with the ESC. Small rounded box about 2 inches by 3 inches. May have to pull carpet back behind seat to undo screw there to help remove mounting plate for ECM. can not see it with out removing this big plate. Crazy - remove battery then ECM then plate then relay. Before that double check your connections for the distibutor 4 wire plug and the oil pressure sensor plug , these signals have to be there to energize the relay for fuel pump.

1st you have to test the battery to make sure it's good. if the battery is good you should check the starter to see if that works. then, if all is well, check the flywheel, or flex plate to make sure the teeth are still there. and make sure the starter pinion engages the flywheel or flex plate. if the above are good , you,ve got problems. if everything seems ok, i would take the plugs out, and put a socket on the bolt holding the harmonic balancer on, and try turning the engine over with a breaker bar. it should turn over with about 35 ft. lbs. of torque. good luck.

I have a 1972 Corvette and the power window relay is in the shifter console, just forward of the power window switches. I would believe it's in the same place in the '73. Good Luck

That number isn't on the list at mortec.com, so it's hard to tell. The 9's, 8's, 3's, and 6's look so much alike that you may not have the correct numbers. My best guess is that they are mid-70's smog heads with big chambers.

Pull out the upper control arms after putting the lower ones on jack stands in order to hold the springs in place with the car weight. Then you need to pull the hood in order to gain access to the upper a/c and radiator mounts.Drain the radiator by pulling the plug on the bottom of the right tank. Once this is completed then pull the trans cooler(if you have an automatic) and radiator hoses. Now you can pull the radiator up and out in order to change the mounts

What is the purpose of vat

the sensor is located on the left exhaust pipe just before the pipe bends under the car. It can be seen under the hood from drivers side near fire wall. Do not attempt to use a meter on the sensor. Probably should be changed about every 40 thou. It is easier to remove it if you run car and warm pipe. Disconnect plastic wire connector first. Be careful not to strip female threads on pipe. Wear gloves if you are sensative to heat. Before installing make sure new sensor has anti seize compound on threads. DO NOT install without this. (cw)

Try undoing the latches, lift up and presto...

Very easy. Takes about 3 minutes. Raise the hood. Raise the headlight manually by turning the black knob behind headlight. Headlight assembly is on an L shaped bracket. Side toward radiator has 2 bolts. Back side toward fender has 3 nuts. Remove these and disconnect wiring connecter laying on fender. And carefully lift out whole assembly.

to reconize a new tire monitor you need to program it to your system car

you will need a magnet off a car peaker to do so or purchase the tool which is a magnet anyway from gm

1) turn ignition ON

2)press the RESET button in order to clear any IPC display warning messages

3)press and release the OPTION button on the DIC to scroll through the display options until IPC display is blank

4) press hold the DIC RESET buton for 3 seconds

5)press the OPTIONS button again until the TIRE TRAINING message appears

6)press the RESET button until the IPC LEARN L FRONT TIRE message appears in order to begin the programming sequence

7)hold the magnet over the left front valve stem

8) the horn will sound,indicating the left front TPM sensor is programmed you might have to go through the procedure 3 times if horn doesent sound when horn sounds ,proceed to program the next TPM sensor in the following order as directed by the IPC messages .LEARN R FRONT TYRE .LEARN R REAR TIRE .LEARN L REAR TYRE then you should be done hope mkes sence to you DIC is driver information centre on dash

If your talking about a t.p.m.s (tire pressure monitor system) valve, remove the tire from vehic.(the one with the valve you want to change) brake the tire bead at the valve. be sure to ref. tire to wheel relation for balance. Install new T.P.M.S valve. You should have done by a tire shop/dealer. there is torque values for the t.p.m.s valve & valve core. for the relearn, this requires a special tool. most tire shops & dealers have these tools. there may be a reset in the fuse panel(red button,says reset) .

you dont adjust the pulley you move the compressor,there are two bolts you loosen then an adjustment bolt you screw it or out to move the compressor retighten all bolts and recheck tension

1957 Corvette onyx black with red interior and black soft top and hardtop. This is a total body -off restoration completed by one of the top Corvette restorers in the Detroit, Michigan area. The car has been driven only 250 miles since completed. The frame is powder coated and has all new suspension, brakes, fuel lines and exhaust system. The options include heater, courtesy light, and Wonderbar radio. The total restoration cost is over $100,000. From the battery to frame directly under the battery box. From the frame to the engine at the motor mounts with a short ground cable. Usually on the drivers side.

Loosen the bolts on the alternator or P/S pump, whichever applies, and slide it back enough to loosen the belt. Look and you will see that it can be moved in order to loosen or tighten the belt. Deflection at center point of the belt is approximately 1/2 inch.
