My 02 Impala LS (3.8 Liter) averages about 24 MPG. I have a bit of a lead foot. When my wife drives it is almost 27. Those are calculations based on odometer reading and fuel pump reading, the cars computer always gives a higher estimate. Also, my car is at 15X,XXX miles, so a lower mile one may be better. The 3.4 liter engine might also be better.

My 2000 Impala had been jerking right before it stalled. First, it was just jerking with no stalling, it got progressively worse. I recently got the fuel filter replaced and it hasn't stalled again.

If you are not experiencing any noises you can jack up your car or get it on a rack.Get tires off the ground grab the tire at 12 and 6 o clock and pull back and forth check for any give or movement.If the tire gas excessive fore and aft movement your wheel bearings are going bad!!

It is at the engine end of the top radiator hose. Drain the radiator into a container and remove the hose at the thermostat housing. Remove the 2 bolts and remove the housing and the thermostat.

There should be a red, covered terminal in which you can hook the positive lead, the ground can go to any clean metal surface.

All that means is the tire is not as wide. Racers always want wider tires for better traction. A narrower tire might give less traction and a harder ride. a taller tire will ride softer. A shorter tire will ride stiffer and respond quicker (if you're narrower it's going to be shorter as well because your tire will want to stretch). You don't want to get a smaller rims size, that's just not gonna work.

blower motor. It's a simple 10 min fix. You won't even get dirty. All you need is a Philips screwdriver and an 8mm socket with extension. Located under your glove box inside the car. buy the part and it's hard to miss.

i bought my delphi blower motor off eBay for $65. btw i also got some cheap OEM headlights to replace my foggy, molded stock ones too. that's a simple common problem as well.

there is no 3600 v6 for that model year, only a 3500 v6,3900 v6 or 5300 v8

personally i wouldn't get it because a few weeks ago i bought a 2001 Chevy impala with only 113656 miles on it so for a 2002 dat it extremely 2 much miles on it

There's a spring loaded pin under the light switch behind the panel. Push that in, and pull the knob out. It may take a few times pushing the knob in and out until it releases. Then use a wide blade screwdriver to remove the bezel nut from the front side of the panel.

Turn the radio on. Took me forever to figure that part out. Once it's on, press and hold the clock button located under the RDM button on the left bottom side of the clock/radio display. The hour button will flash and you can set the time from there using the radio controls. Click the clock button to move forward after setting the hour, then minutes. It will beep when set.

Open the trunk and notice all the nuts that hold the light panel to the trunk lid. Remove all those nuts (must be 8 or 9 of them) and unplug the wire harness that feeds the panel. Now you can remove the light panel to service the light bulbs. Because it is a bit of a PITA, I recommend replacing all the bulbs in that panel while you have it out.

you can try at your local hardware store to find a specific wrench that will fit it. on the end of the wrench it looks like little small metal rods at the end and it should fit right over the stripped nut and take it right off.

Remove the trim panel under the glove box (one press in plastic stud and two plastic latches). You will see the bottom of the blower motor. The blower motor resistor is between the blower motor and the firewall. To replace it, first unplug the blower motor (connection on the firewall-side of the motor...note: press opening between leads to release wire connector). There are three screws that hold the blower motor in. They are equally spaced in the mounting ring, so one is toward the firewall. Note: mine required a Torx bit. You will probably need to remove the wiring loom retainer to get the motor out - it sticks through a bracket by the motor - squeeze the end together with a pair of needle nosed pliers, and it will pop back through the bracket. There are three hex head screws that hold the resistor in place. One is easily accessible, once the blower motor is removed. The other two are on the firewall-side of the resistor and are kind of embedded in the rubber-coated noise barrier that is under the carpet. Pull up the trim piece that covers 2/3rds of the door threshold (it just pulls up, pushes back in). Pull the carpet back toward the seat. This will expose a larger area of the black-rubber-coated noise barrier. I made a couple of short cuts in my noise barrier and pulled it away from the resistor mounting screws. Note: The mounting holes for the resistor are open-ended slots. Take out the screw that is most accessible, generously loosen the screws near the firewall. Remove the resistor, and install the new one. Start the screw that had been removed, then tighten all three screws. Test the blower motor (hook leads directly to the battery and/or check for continuity with an ohm meter) before reinstalling it - most resistor failures are due to a defective motor! A defective motor will cause the new resistor to fail (again). Install motor. Reinstall air hose to motor - it connects to ductwork by the resistor. Reinstall wire loom retainer. Start car and test run blower. Fold noise-barrier and carpet back into place. Reinstall trim panel in door threshold. Reinstall trim panel under glovebox. Go for a test drive and enjoy!

you change the tranny when it goes out if that's what you mean, other than that you should change the oil and filter in it between 30 and 50 thousand miles.

It can be numerous things. If the check engine light is on then you need to take it to a repair shop and have them diagnosis it for you. You may have to have the cooling system pressure tested for leaks.

You need to purchase a Haynes Manual from a parts store or bookstore. It will be specific to your car. It will detail everything you will need.
