There is no such thing as a bypass module. The best I can figure is the Body Control Module. If this is the case then you will have to find a shop with a scanner to do it. If you have NOT made the necessary repairs then the light WILL come back on.

there are no hidden VIN numbers. They are on a tag about 31/2 inches long by 21/2 inches in height. They are located on the driver's side firewall and to the right of the master cyclinder.

The number are stamped on the frame drivers side on top of the frame.. you'll need a mirror and light and a wire brush to get them.. and some time you'll need to undo a few bolts from the frame and body. On an impala they are located on the top of the frame between the rear tire and bumper(rear) Divers side. Front one is located near the trans cross member on top of the frame.. this one is really hard to read and get to. Best start off with the rear.

This sounds like you may just have a bad thermostat. A stuck open thermostat causes the engine coolant to not reach operating temperature- thus the temp gauge will not move and looks like it is bad. Since the computer sees the fact that the engine has been running for a period of time, and the temp is not where it should be, it turns on the radiator fans as a default to prevent overheating- since it does not know what the coolant temp is. This condition is usually accompanied by a check engine light (SES) with code p0128.- TechJK --------------------------------- cooling fans come on as soon as i start the car

How do you change the emergency flasher module in a 2001 Chevrolet Impala?
You need to pull the whole front dash pannel off. There are also about 6 screws holding it on each end, (left and right), and below. I found I needed to take my ignition key off the ring put it in the ignition and position to run so that I could put the column shift into 1 (full down) and put the steering wheel to full down in order to get the clearance to get the pannel off. It seems like quite a nusance, and nerve wracking to be pulling the whole pannel off at once, but it worked.
The emergency flasher also controls the regular turn signals. Mine stopped working a few weeks ago. I took it out. Tapped it with the handel of a screw driver and it started working again.
