In vehicles with an electronically controlled transmission, the computer will trip the "Check Engine" light when it detects a problem with the A/T. You have a transmission problem. Also, if the computer senses a serious problem with one of the main sensors, it may go into "Limp Home" mode where it uses calculated defaults instead of input from the sensors to control the engine. Check for trouble codes. On a 1999 LHS, with the car in off and in Park, turn the key on, off, on, off, and then on. Look at the odometer, the trouble codes should display there. Where is the crankshaft position sensor located on a 1995 Chrysler LHS?
On our 1994 LHS it is located on the passenger side of the engine down by where the transmission is bolted to it. I had to remove the air intake pipe and push it out of the way, squeeze my left arm down through the opening to the left of the strut almost to my elbow and follow the connector wires to the sensor. One 10mm socket removed the single bolt holding the sensor (a tight fit ). A quarter turn of the ratchet was enough to loosen the bolt so I could unscrew it with my fingers. Wiggle the old one out and replace. Takes about 15 minutes.
there's a lot of things it could be. does the car i guess buck so to speak? if that is happening that could be an erg valve, it could be the O2 sensor if there's a strong smell of gas, it could need a tune up it could have something to do with the timing belt/chain. Your best bet would be to take it in to a shop and tell the guys whats going on with it and pay them 40-60 bucks to find the problem. Otherwise it can be hit and miss and a lot of wasted time and money.

How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 1994 Chrysler?
Originally, one would only have to lift the hood, remove the plastic shroud, and then turn the bolts that hold the headlamps into the mounting brackets. Unfortunately, some idiot at Chrysler decided to use a plastic mounting bracket and insert small brass fittings with threading for the steel bolts to go into. The steel will rust and seize in the brass. The fittings, since they are improperly set into plastic, will spin when you try to get the bolt out.
The way to get to the headlamps, after discovering the idiocy of someone using differing metals and plastic to secure the headlamps, is to remove the bumper cover and then remove the headlamp mounting brackets that are mounted to the chassis. You will need a ratchet, extensions, a swivel end for 1/4" sockets, a proper sized metric socket and a phillips head screwdriver to remove the bumper cover once you raise the front end of the vehicle up high enough to get underneath.
That is what I had to do in order to replace the lights in the assembly.

Why does the breaks sqeak on your 94 Chrysler lhs?
Normally the brakes start making a noise when the brake pads are worn past a certain point. A wire pops out and they start making a noise. That means the pads are thin and need to be replaced. Since you ignored that noise and waited until they started squeaking, it means you let them get to the point where they wore down to the rivets. They squeak because metal is scratching on metal. Now you have to replace the whole unit and not just the pads. You have an expensive repair job ahead.

How do you program built in garage door opener in a 2000 Chrysler lhs?
you get out your remote control to your garage door opener and, then get your owners manual to your new car. You need to follow the instructions from the manufacturer to be able to program the remote control to the car.
Ok, you have followed the instructions from the car manufacturer and you press the button for the garage door to go up...and nothing happens. So, then you think you have missed a step on the programing. Well, what most instruction manuals leave out is the step from programing the car/truck/van to the garage door machine itself. On the back side of your garage door opener is a panel called the logic board. The logic board is the computer or brain of the machine. Most new garage door openers now are a mulit-code machine. By that, i mean it uses several signals each time you press the button on your remote control. This is for security, so your code can't be stolen by a code-grabber.
Now, comes the step of programing the vehicle to your garage door opener. Once you have followed the instructions of programing your vehicle, you now have to "teach" the car to the garage door opener. You will need some help doing this. You will have to get someone to press the button in your vehicle and hold it down, while someone else has to press the learn button on the back your your garage door opener mounted on the ceiling. The learn button on the back of your machine will be square if using a liftmaster machine. Craftsman, Liftmaster, Chamberlain are all the same. Their learn buttons are square, and usually are yellow, red/orange, or purple. If using a Genie, it has a button that says "learn button".
The person pushing the button on the machine will only have to push and release the learn button. DO NOT hold this button down. If you do, it erases all of the programing in the machine, and you have to re-program all the remote controls that you have. You will have to read my other hub to find out how to do that. You will probably say a few words you shouldn't either. Progaming the vehicle to the machine only takes a second, and when the machine accepts the code, the light bulb on the machine should flash for a brief moment, and you should hear audible click. Yep, it's that easy! I dont know why the auto makers leave that step out. Anyway, i hope this helps, and if you have any questions.. leave them in my comments and i will try to walk you through it. See the photo above and you will see the typical logic board...the square red/orange learn button is easy to see. Just remember to press and release.
