How does the fineness affect the time of setting?
Setting begins to occur after the concrete is mixed and even before pouring. The cement in the concrete begins to stiffen after mixed with water. The concrete is beginning to change from liquid form to solid form. During the setting process, the concrete does gain strength, which is the beginning of the
hardening process. When the water ingredient is added to the concrete mix, the concrete is still pliable and flexible, sort of a paste. There is two stages of setting: initial and final setting. Initial setting is when the concrete loses it flexibility and begins to harden. Final setting is when the concrete can sustain some load, but still has some moisture within the mixture.

What is the formula for strength to weight ratio in a dome?
I am looking for the formula to figure strength to weight ratio for a dome that I built for a project
What does means corrugated steel bars mean?
Corrugated steel bars are reinforcing bars (rebar) that have a series of ridges or grooves along their surface, which enhances their bonding strength with concrete. These bars are commonly used in construction to improve the tensile strength of concrete structures, preventing cracking and providing stability. The corrugated design allows for better adhesion between the steel and concrete, making it ideal for various structural applications.
Who built the Leba pass in Angola?
We were told that a Portuguese woman designed and built this road - the day they finished the project she looked at it and died.
What is the weigh of tmt steel 8mm to 12mm?
10 mm steel tmt of 100m weighs 62 kg and 8 mm tmt steel of 100 m weighs 39 kg
What is the principle of Carey foster's bridge?
the principle of wheatstone bridge is,there is a potential fall is directly proportional to the length of the wire, and this fall is also equalt to the fall accross the resistances applied in parallel to the battery. It is a form of wheatstone bridge.
What is the different between distance and displacement?
Distance is the scalar value of how far an object has traveled regardless of direction.
Displacement is the vector value of how far an object has been displaced, meaning how far is it from where it started.
The better way to describe the difference between displacement and distance is here.
1. Displacement is the directed line segment between initial and final position of a moving body.
2. Distance is the total length of path traversed by the moving body irrespective of direction.

When we use mini drafter in engineering drawing?
The mini-drafter is a versatile tool and can be used for almost everything. It can be used to draw parallel lines, perpendiculars, inclined lines of any degree with unmatched speed. it consists of one long scale and one small scale and the scales are shaped in 'L' shaped and by a mini drafter we can do 3 kinds of works :
1) drawing of lines
2)drawing perpendiculars for the lines
3)we can use that as a protracter simultanously
A good topic for environmental and transportation engineering is comparing the affects of transportation engineering on the environment. You can then discuss how environmental engineering can mitigate those problems.
What Building has the most toilets?

What is the longest straight stretch of road in the world?
The Pan-American Highway begins in Alaska. It passes through Canada the United States and Mexico. Then it continues down the West Coast of South America all the way to Chile. Altogether, the highway passes through 12 counties. It passes through jungles and mountains, the road is approx. 16,000 miles long. At this time, only one 54 mile stretch of the road remains to be completed.
However, the longest road, by definetion, is "0" street in Lincoln, Nebraska
