after you double click on "add new hardware" there will eventually be a screen that asks you if you want windows to look for it or if you choose to select it yourself. When you select that option, a list of hardware opens up. just follow the prompts. Don't be afraid to let the wizard start to look. It won't search unless you choose that option.
Nah, I suspect they're referring to the times when Windows actually manages to find the inf on it's own so you never get a chance to do anything. I had this trouble myself at one point. In the end, I searched for and deleted the .inf file that Windows was using so it had to ask me for a location.
How you can build external TV tuner box using internal TV tuner card?
it means converting of a normal tv tuner (not a computer card. this tuner is an inbuilt assembly of a normal tv) into a capture unit for computer monitor. this is possible and practically successful idea but it needs a sufficient knowledge in electronics.
first of all you should understand the pin order of tv tuner. Second you should use the model no of that tuner and search on internet aboutits voltage and other data.
now you can identify theaudio video and tuning voltage and vhf uhf changing voltage etc..
now select a suitable power supply. Use small co axe cables....job nearly finished.
if you understand this article then you may try it. a big challenge is 90v.you can overcome it by a couple of methods.one is inverter and other is pulsating method.
Are xp and xps the same thing?
I assume that with XP, you are referring to the Windows Operating System (OS), and by XPS, you are referring to the make of DELL computer. If this is the case, then no, they are not the same thing.

How do you retrieved files in recycler folder?
i want to remove recycler virus
=====
Answer:
The Recycler Virus takes advantage of the Windows Autorun feature in order to sneak into your computer. Since this virus copies itself to all active drives in your PC, it can eventually consume precious space. It will also try to contact other malicious sites the moment you go online so your system can slow down to a crawl.
You can remove the recycler virus by running a scan on your computer to get rid of it automatically. You may also remove them manually yourself if you wish.
What is the difference between primary and secondary needs?
I'm guessing primary need is a chore item etc. that needs to get don as the first priority. Secondary is a lesser need. Don't think this is fully true. I am just guessing
How many USB port serial and parallel port are available in computer?
That depends on how many are installed. One used to be standard on the motherboard. Some modern PCs have deleted that port since USB is much easier to use. If your machine has PCI or other expansion card sockets you can buy parallel port expansion cards and add several. It is also possible to add parallel ports using USB to parallel port adapters.

Why does my computer go straight to the bios?
You likely mean that it is going directly to the CMOS Setup. Every computer with a BIOS boots using the BIOS, but if the BIOS detects problems with the CMOS data, it goes to the CMOS setup so the user can fix it. What the BIOS does is verify to see if the calculated checksum of the stored data matches the recorded checksum. If they don't match, the CMOS settings are dumped and changed to the defaults, and the user is either prompted or taken to the CMOS settings.
While the CMOS can be scrambled at random or due to misbehaving software, the main cause would likely be a bad CMOS battery. It could also mean the CMOS chip is failing (since some contain an integrated battery) or that there are other hardware errors -- such as a stuck keyboard or a bad hard drive. It generally should tell you why you are being sent there. In a rare situation, someone may have the CMOS jumper in the wrong place, perhaps because they bought a motherboard themselves and received it that way.
Why graphics card is consider important for computer aided engineering application?
graphics cards are important for CAD applications because those procrams tend to be very graphically intense, expecially when rendering in 3D. a good video card will take some of the load off the CPU and allow more complex models to be rendered. this assumes, of course, that the GPU is the bottleneck of the system and processor, memory, and hard drive can also have big impacts on performance.
for design applications such as this, both Nvidia and ATI make specialized "workstation" graphics cards that will run such programs much better than normal gaming versions. they have a slightly different design but carry a heavy price premium, mostly for the far superior tech support and extra design that went into them
How many IDE devices can you have?
Short answer: Four
A much more precise answer: The IDE standard allows for two devices to share a single IDE channel. The most common configuration is for there to be two IDE channels on the motherboard, allowing for a total of four devices. It is possible however, to add more IDE channels, usually in the form of PCI add-on IDE controller cards and have literally dozens of IDE devices in a single computer system.
What does a blue screen with no text after POST indicate?
When you have a blue screen on a computer, with or without text, this is known as BSoD. When BSoD occurs, Windows on your computer has crashed, and information dumped.
1 day = 24 hours
1 year = 365 days
1 year = 365x24 hours
For leap year
1 year = 366 days
1 year = 366x24 hours
If the First, Second or Third year is a leap year then, there would be 29 leap years.
Number of hours in 115 years = 29x366x24 + 86x365x24 = 1008096.
But, if the fourth year is a leap year then, there would be 28 leap years.
Number of hours in 115 years = 28x366x24 + 87x365x24 = 1008072.
Is it possible to have a dual OS in a single dual processor motherboard?
Yes, you will just have to choose at startup which system you will use.
duel booting is a service through which we can install 2 or more OS. but for this we can install one SOS(Simple Operating System) and one NOS (Network Operating System) that's it.
Is there a way to convert a wireless USB modem to a Ethernet plug instead of a USB plug?
I have not found a way to convert it to a ethernet plug maybe you can use a reverse Networking USB to Ethernet Adaptor but is kind of like making your computer a modem which makes it unlikely. This question is most likely needed for people that need to connect their game systems to the internet from only a ethernet plug but however can buy a WIFI adaptor. Unless your ISP requires you to need a internet browser to log into the internet this makes the WIFI adaptor worthless because your game systems don't have internet browsers. But if you buy a "Synet Windy31 USB Wireless Router" you can route your "USB Modem" though your "Portable Computer" and through your "Synet Windy31 USB Wireless Router" and wireless through your "Game Systems WIFI" you have internet. But this can really strip away your internet speed from 10Mps to 3Mps. It's a complicated, expensive and electricity wasting procedure but works for gamers sake. If anybody has found a way to just the 1st question without alternative ways please write back.
In documentation why is there sometimes a discrepancy in the hardware requirements listed for an OS?
depends on what OS you are using.
