Who discovered the first computer bug?

a moth

The term "bug" had been in use for any malfunction or error of a machine long before electronic digital computers existed.

Its first use referring to a computer problem was on the Harvard Mark II electromechanical computer, when a moth got smashed inside the contacts of a relay causing a failure. When the failure was located and the moth removed from the relay, the operator on that shift taped it to the logbook below the entry on the failure and labeled it First Computer Bug. That morning Grace Murray Hopper came on duty and read the logbook and thought it was a great story to tell every time she spoke somewhere. The first computer bug wasn't even in an electronic computer, the Harvard Mark II was electromechanical.

Does mocospace have viruses?

I got a worm (virus) on my computer from mocospace a while ago. I had to get a new computer. My friend had also gotten a worm from it on her lap top, but that's just our experience with it. We found out that using mocospace through a phone doesn't give off any virus that we know of, just when you go on it through a computer.

-----

I also got a virus as well using mocospace. Regardless of what browser you are using if your on a PC chances are you will get a virus using mocospace. It seems that the virus is coming from the chatroom. You don't have to replace your computer, you simply need to remove the virus with a program called malwarebytes. Its a free download but the trick is getting it to run before the virus takes over your antivirus program.

The "Programs" section these are the programs and or processes (depending on your operating system; In XP and 2K they have separate tabs) currently running on your computer. A lot of these run in the background and are required by your operating system and other software such as your firewall and anti-virus software.

Is a Trojan a computer program that seems to perform one function while actually doing something else?

Yes. It's analogous with the Trojan Horse story from Greek mythology, where the Trojans secrete themselves within a large wooden horse left as a "gift" to the Greeks, thus gaining entry to the Greek stronghold. A Trojan program works the same way. The "gift horse" relies on social engineering to entice you to install the payload upon your system by offering you a popular software package for free. Torrent websites are a common source of Trojans -- for obvious reasons.

Is virus an operating system?

A virus is a file that was programmed to harm your computer. It may be transferred to your Operating System (the environment which runs your computer) and can be hidden within program files, system files, or your account files. Viruses can severely damage your computer, so purchase a good antivirus program, such as Norton Internet Security 2011 (for windows). If you run Macintosh, you already have virus protection.

Do add-ons have viruses?

Yes they can. Add-ons are small programs that are used to extend the functionality of the program to which they will attach themselves. Now if the add-on is a malicious code rather than something useful, then it will infect its host. That's why the official site of a program having add-ons from third party companies on their page usually say only to install programs from reliable sources. So do install add-ons from trusted sources :)

How do computer virus programmers test their virus?

I mean, if they execute the virus program in their own system, it will a problem to their system also na.. So, there must be some way they follow, whether their virus program is working fine or not..

What is the method they follow???

I heard that they get other computers to test it on like someone will volunteers there's to test it on and then the person who created the virus erases everything on the volunteers and reset everything or they just buy computers to test it on. I'm not sure

most people who do things on computer also have an old computer/laptop.

They will probably test is on that one (since they know how to remove it...)
