How do scientists believe that a great flood killed the dinosaurs?
Scientists do not believe that the extinction of the dinosaurs was the result of a great flood. There are still a number of competing theories about the extinction of the dinosaurs although it is clear that there was a large meteor impact in the Yucatan region, which played a role. It may also be that rising carbon dioxide levels and ocean acidity played a role as well. It may be that there were a number of contributing factors, rather than just one single cause. But scientists do not think that flooding was involved. Note that some dinosaurs were aquatic, and would not have been killed by flooding since they already lived in the water.

What are the different types of dinosaurs?
Dinosaurs are usually large in size, the largest being 30 metres long, and they come in different looks and sizes. Dinosaurs are either herbivorous, carnivorous or omnivorous. Herbivorous dinosaurs are usually larger in size and have longer necks than the others as they evolved to scare carnivorous dinosaurs who are preying on them away. They usually live in herds. They have short and blunt teeth as they are sufficient for chewing on plants. They probably swallowed stones to aid them in their digestion. Carnivorous dinosaurs are large in size and the usually walk on their hinds. They have long and sharp teeth for killing their prey and ripping their flesh for food. Omnivorous dinosaurs are not as large as carnivorous dinosaurs. They usually walk on their hinds but they do not have specific kinds of teeth as they consume plants, animals and even eggs.

Good luck with it.

Were dinosaurs alive 500000000000000000 years ago?

What kind of dinosaur is the purple dinosaur on the dinosaur train?
That would be Barney.
Actually it would depend on which one you are talking about. Hesperornis is the penguin like dinosaur with long legs and next to nothing for arms. Archaeopteryx is a not so attractive bird. Daspletosaurus looks like its relative T-Rex. Confuciusornis would be the attractive bird. or the Corythosaurus. The best answer for you is to look at PBSkids.org and look at the dinosaur train segment.
How do they combine dinosaur skeleton?
By guess and by golly for the most part. Actually, with experience, dinosaur experts have gotten a lot better about guessing which part goes where, but there were some funny learning mistakes. For example, where the first Iguanodon was found, one of its two thumb-spikes was with it, but since they only found one, the scientists reconstructing the animal put the spike on its nose! The famous feud between Marsh and Cope (the two great early dinosaur hunters) began which Marsh pointed out to Cope that he'd assembled his great discovery, the Diplodocus, with the skull on the end of the tail! Marsh wasn't always right himself, though: he once put an Apatosaurus body and a Camarosaurus head together.

Can you drink the same water that a dinosaur drank and if so how?
It is possible. The water cycle is continuous, so we could be drinking the same water that dinosaurs drank, Cleopatra bathed in or a mouse drowned in. Luckily, water is naturally filtered while making its way back into the water table. Most water molecules are never destroyed, but continually go through a cycle of where they go... down your throat, down the sink, into a river, up into the sky, down as rain, into the ocean... etc. And it's been doing that for millions and millions of years over and over and over again. And so the very same water molecules have been around since the dinosaurs and long before that!
