Yes, it will, but you would have to take the following parts off of your 1999 engine and install them on your 2002 engine first: Flywheel, left cam sprocket, intake, engine harness, plenum, valve covers, exhaust manifolds, alternator, temp sensor, and EGR valve/piping. The 3.2 and 3.5 will interchange . There are sites on the computer that explain the change . You have to take the computer from the donor car . The 2.7 is an engine that was pretty well designed but someone screwed up the oil return system and evidently the crank case ventilation system . Don't feel bad . Toyota has had the same problems . They just have a better public relations department . Good luck .

Under the dash on the driver side. It is a six wire probably blue connector.

Same thing went wrong with my 96.... the selenoid in the transmission had gone out. This is a dealer part, but I purchased mine @ Daaco.

Mine is the es and even if you have the se it would be the same. There should be at the top of the engine about 4 inches away from the upper rad hose a small post that you need to loosen just a little. When the engine is turned on when its cooled down and the res cap is on, you need to loosen that bleed post just a little about half a turn or untill u see it spitting coolant a bit. The premiss is u watch this burp and sputter untill the coolant runs free then tighten down. Then check your level on coolant (add then repeat). you may need to drive around the block a couple times to get to operational lvl. Then allow to cool down and do the process over again. Start car loosen post, coolant runs free, then check lvl. It sux but thats what you do for a pressurized closed system.

The answer is very dependent on which engine - Ford used at least 2 different engines that year, including the DUAL overhead CAM (DOHC).

When doing something this complicated I suggest you get a shop manual on your car from Auto Zone for about $18 and it will tell you how to do this job and help with the next job.

If it's like a '91 sunbird 2.0 you need to: 1. disconnect battery 2. remove breather and alternator with bracket 3. remove power stearing pump with bracket (or slide back out of the way to get the timing belt cover off) It's got a couple bolts going throught the motor mount that are very hard to reach. 4. remove any thing else in the way of the timing belt cover (brackets, hoses etc.) 5. remove timing belt cover by coming out a little and upward. (might want to remove passenger side front wheel to get at some of the cover bolts) I don't think the crank pulley needs to come off. 6. push down on the tensioner pulley with a long screw driver (it rotates down and counter-clockwise) 7. belt should come off. 8. reverse process to install new belt. note: there is a groove on the cam sprocket that lines up with a notch on the cover (metal back part). also line up the crank pulley notch/groove with the "0" mark on the cover. final note: this is from memory which I don't guarantee being over 50. Hope this works for you. +/-$300 and a repair shop works too.

Already answered in another thread, I just did mine today, but just grab hold of the entire dome light/map light assembly, there are 2 metal on plastic clips that hold it in, pull it straight down, hard, but not too hard, since it is still wired to the lamp circuit. It will unclip from the roof. Then just snap out the little light sockets and change the bulbs. The whole thing snaps back in the same way it came out.

I have a 97 with a 3.5L, maybe they are the same. Remove the three piece timing cover. Both cams will have one tooth with a dimple in it. The rear timing cover has 2 dimples over each cam pulley. The dimple on the cam should line up in between the 2 dimples on the rear timing cover. The timing belt pulley on the crank will have a mark over one tooth. Right above the crank pulley is a small round spot in the casting. If you clean this off, you will see an arrow pointing down. This arrow needs to point directly at the timing mark on the pulley. When these all line up, turn the engine by hand 2 full turns. If they still line up, you should be good to go.

P1776 is a transmission fault code. It is for Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in Low Reverse Position. Solenoid packs were a problem that would set that code in these model cars, but it could be a valve body also. I've replaced both for this code..depends on what set the code. I'd make a trip to a Dodge dealership for a proper diagnosis.

You need to have the trans computer checked for codes. There will be a code that will lead to what is causing the no shift.

It does not have a cabin air filter if that is what you are looking for.

The easiest thing to do would be to bring it to a local mechanic. They will be able to figure out why the door will not open and fix it without further damaging it or the car.

The light, being illuminated, indicates a fault in the system. Until that fault is remedied, the lamp will not reset itself. Faults could be:

* low engine oil level * engine oil level too high (yes, damage can occur from too much oil) * oil pressure is too low

Dodge doesn't use reset buttons. The system is computer controlled with relays.

1993-1997 you hook the cables to the battery.

1998-2004 you hook the cable to the jump start posts under the hood, passenger side.

The spark plug gap for a 2000 Dodge Intrepid measures .050 inches. This is the equivalent of 1.2 to 1.3 mm.

It means that the transmission computer has also set a code, You need to have the tcm checked for codes.

You pour it into the plastic bottle on the left side of the engine compartment.

Are you talking about the PCM (Power Control Module)? If so, I just had to replace mine and the dealer said this would cost approximately $700. They have to be programmed to your car for it to work. I found a place online (www.allcomputerresources.com) where you can buy one for about $250 and they program it before it is shipped. The PCM is located right in front of the fuse box, under the hood, on the driver side of the car. I replaced mine myself and I don't really know alot about cars. Hope this information helps!
