There are a few things to try but the best solution is to never use belt dressing on anything but a v-belt and don't use it then unless it's an emergency. You can try spraying WD-40 on the belt in small increments instead but usually a noisy belt is a signal for a new belt or some adjustment to pulleys or tension.

To remove belt dressing you can try some mild soap and warm water which might work if it hasn't adhered to the pulleys too much. If it has then you probably need to pull the belt and clean the pulleys with brake fluid, carb cleaner or something similar. Possibly steel wool will be required to get all the gunk off. Then put on a new belt, it's almost impossible to remove dressing from your belt and even if you could you'd likely be back to your original problem, a worn or noisy belt.

The best solution is to NEVER use belt dressing. Back in the 70s you could use it on an alternator belt but cars and belts have changed a lot since then. I would never suggest using belt dressing on any car made in the last 30 years.

A 2000 Nissan Sentra GXE with the 1.8L engine has a timing chain, not a belt. There is no specific recommendation as to when to replace the timing chain. In most cases, chain-driven vehicles can go for well over 150,000 miles before the timing components are in need of replacement.

The Dodge Intrepid isn't nescesarily a bad car... The 2.7 engines are the problem. The 2.7 v6 engine is not tolerant of neglect, and the oil changes need to be on time. Also, converting to synthetic oil can prolong the life of your Intrepid. If you are looking to buy an Intrepid I'd suggest looking for the 3.2 v6 or the 3.5 v6. Good Luck!

You should try giving the bottom of the tire a good hit. Then hit it all around the wheel well. This should loosen it enough for it to be pulled off.

first u will need to take the door panel off, and than take off 5 little bolts from the window regulator and 2 from the glass part and boom ur done..

Depends on the engine. 2.7 Liter V6 will show when you check the oil. Has an internal water pump driven by the timing chain. I RECOMMEND CHECKING YOUR OIL AT EVERY FUEL FILL UP!!! If not noticed in time the water in your oil can damage your engine.

To get to the side mirror switch on a 2002 Dodge Intrepid look on the driver side door. The mirror switch is located just above the window up and down switches.

Assuming you haven't got a broken IAC, unplugging the engine coolant temperature switch should work.

Don't blame me if increasing the idle speed above design causes transmission damage.

the fuses for the inside stuff is on the drivers side part of the dashboard where the door and the dash meet. The relays are under the hood, in a black box right behind the battery on the right hand side of the engine compartment

its not a fun job. from underneath the hood between the engine and fire wall is the back side of the inner tie rod. there is a bolt with a safety locking tab you have to bend out to loosen the bolt from the rack. jaybird1980
