Why would anyone ask how to change the coil? It s far more difficult to diagnose. If you want to change it out first go buy the part for you will be able to identify it on the engine. Once you see it look and see what kind of bolt or bolts are holding it on. Then your going to have to figure out what tools might work and look at what tools you have. The one coil wire on it will be able to be pushed off maybe with a bit of twisting, but don't pull it with much force or it will break. This should be easy to do as it is mounted on the outside of the engine wear access is good.

Check under hood drivers side under large black cover. *I know that on a 94 Astro it is located under the hood on the passenger side on the fire wall next to the wiper relay (both relays are little black boxes with a wire plug on the bottom) up above the heater blower motor, I hope this helps, Good Luck.

after you locate where number one cylinder is on the distrubutor cap the firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 . number one cylinder is the front on the drivers side, number 2 is front on the passengers side on so on, back and forth for the rest.

There is a bigger fuse box under the hood my daughter put a penny in the cigarette lighter and took the big fuses out there. They look like little plastic containers and you can see the fuse that is blown No one could tell me that. I found it on my own. I think its a conversion van thing.
