How much is the cost to replace a water pump on a 1997 Chevy Malibu 24 L 4-cylinder engine?

The cost of replacing a part is a very general question that unless specified exactly is hard to answer. First, is who is replacing the part? Is the Dealer, an independent repair shop, a junkyard, the guy next door or you doing the replacement. These will all yield different prices. Not to mention that within all of these will be different labor rates and different part price mark ups. Second, what is the quality of the part? Is it a new, reman, name brand, generic (white box, economy), OEM or used part? All of these will be different. Price will even differ between name brands, sometimes significantly. Thirdly, What is the warranty of the part and who is offering the warranty (the shop the parts house or the manufacturer). Limited Lifetime will have restrictions. Lifetime warranty isn

What causes a new mechanical fuel pump not to pump gas on 1984 Dodge 360 engine?

If the pump is new, the most likely cause is a clogged fuel filter or line. Broken line, cut hose, improper instilation.

DOES a 1990 5.9L dodge ram van 350 have a crank sensor?

After much time searching I found out that not all 1990's has a crank sensor. Dodge used up some 1989 engines in the 1990 production, thus some do NOT have crank sensors.

I NEED HELP DIAGOSING THIS ONE! It runs great, then it will loose power, and smell like flooding, and stall out. The fuel pressure remains constant at 14 lbs PSI. Spark remains. After a few minutes it will start up and rev up to clear out and all is well till next ime.

How much does a 99 dodge ram 1500 van weigh?

Standard length is around 4300 lbs, I think, but it depends on options, seats, etc.

What size wrench fits the fuel pump bolts on a 1987 Dodge van with a 318 engine?

For removing the fuel pump bolts on a 318, 360, 400, you would use a 1/2" socket. I used this to remove and install bolts on a 1977 Dodge Warlock with the 400 in it. Hope that helps.

What is the ignition timing setting for a 1993 Geo Storm 1.6L SOHC?

The question you ask is too involved for a proper answer. You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Huh? The answer is 10 degrees BTDC, or whatever is printed on the label underneath the hood. The timing mark is in the MIDDLE of the crank pulley (on the ridge between the alternator and accessory belts). You will not be able to see it, but you can feel it with your fingernail, it is just a little nick. Paint it with a tiny dot (big mark will decrease accuracy). Then you have to jump the diagnostic connector in the passenger side kick area before starting the car, verify the computer light comes on so that it is using no advance, and probably have someone put their foot on the gas to keep it from dying while you set the timing.

How do you run the trailer harness to the outside under the van on a 2003 Astro?

The best answer I found for my 2002 Astro was to keep the trailer harness inside the van until needed, then simply open the door, bring out the harness, and close the doors with the harness on the floor of the van, coming out between and under the dutch doors. The rubber gaskets around the doors allow the doors to close on the harness without putting a kink in it, even. This protects the harness from weather when not in use.

What is the spark plug firing order for a 1997 Dodge Ram Van B 2500 V8 5.9 from the disturbutor and also timing mark?

1357 on left side (driver) front to rear, 2468 right (passenger) front to rear. Order is 18436572 clockwise.
The distibutor is timed with a scan tool, not a timing light. To set the distributor with out a scan tool you line the rotor up with the line on the pickup plate under the distributor cap when the mark on the crank pulley is lined up with tdc #1.

1988 dodge ram b250 conversion van when you turn key in ignition just click won' turn over all other power is working is it a ignition control module neutral safety switch?

Go remove and clean both battery terminal connections and then reconnect them and make them tight. The connections you have now are withdrawing enough current to light the lights but not enough to start your van. Make sure you clean them well, both the posts and the inside of the cables and you can use dilectric grease to keep them from corroding. Answer 1 is correct, but incomplete. From your description of symptoms, I doubt there is anything wrong with your ignition control module neutral safety switch, as even if it were defective it would not cause the symptoms you describe. For the symptoms you describe I can think of only two causes: 1) a low or weak battery, which your "...all other power is working..." pretty well eliminates, or 2) a high resistance fault in the wiring between the battery and the solenoid, including internal to the solenoid itself. If after cleaning the battery terminal posts and connectors the problem still remains, there are SOME OTHER possible causes and related fixes. First, it is possible that the connections/connectors at the OTHER END OF THOSE CABLES are corroded causing the same symptoms. The correction for this is the same as in Answer 1. Next, although it does not happen often, corrosion could have occured inside the crimped on terminal connector(s) on the battery cable ends, which would not be easily observed, and cannot be repaired, requiring replacement of the cable(s). Finally, there could be internal defects in the starter solenoid which could result in the same symptoms, and is usually best corrected by replacing the solenoid. j3h. It is possible that the battery may have one or more bad cells and that it will test good voltage wise it may not have enough amps to fully engage the starter causing the click sound. Have the battery tested at a parts store.
