make sure to clean the oil and old gasket material off well and put the RTV in the corners. take great care not to roll the gasket on the rear valve cover!

I'm going to say yes it is best. minimum octane I would consider using in these cars is 87 octane with a compression ratio of 10:1, turbo models 92 octane minimum rating. Reason... octane is a fuel stabilizer and allows for higher compression without pre-ignition. If the octane to low the air/fuel mixture can ignite from compression alone ( no spark required) not to mention a nice little piece of hot carbon that has built up can ignite the fuel. Pre-ignition can cause severe damage to your engine. Always error on the side of caution.

You have some electrical parts that are overheating. You better get this looked at by a professional yesterday. Do not park this car in your garage or near your home. Park it where when it catches on fire it will not burn down your home also.

The Fuel Relay is located under the Passenger side Center counsol Carpet. It lookes like a little copper box bolted by two bolts that are 10mm-12mm bolts. This usually goes out on these cars I had to replace mine twice...

You can not just cut a wire to disable an alarm. You will have to hook that wire back up.

The above answer is obvious as to what coud be burning it could be a number of things.

First check the fluids. If any of them are low it could cause a burning smell, top them up to the proper levels. If the burning smell continues then it could be some thing else. Or it could be some fluids spilt on the engine while it was running.

It could also be a malfunctioning cercuit, burnt wire, some thing in the engine could be dying out.

When in doubt have it checked out asap or the burning smell could burn through your wallet.

This has been answered before. Look in the hatch area under the spare tire. There should be a metal plate with screws holding it in place. Remove the plate and there ya go. If it isn't there :( drop the tank for access.

the only difference is the Turbo, that s only diff between ES\RT.

*rt does not mean it has turbos, the rt es and base refer to the trim style of the vehicle, base is the low end rt is the high end, some rt are turbo some are not, all rt have the DOHC endine

starting on the top left going down this is how mine goes:(non-turbo)door ajar warning light, oil pressure, check engine light, tour /sport mode indicator if you have ecs.,security indicator(if you have security system), DOWN MIDDLE FROM TOP BETWEEN SPEEDOMETER AND RPM GAUGES:left blinker=right blinker, gas gauge,brake warning light, cruise control indicator(if so equipped),battery charging system indicator(if on low battery) beside that high beams,RIGHT HAND SIDE TOP seat belt restraint system, washer fluid level, srs warning light(needs to be serviced by dealer), carousel looking light is LOW ENGINE COOLANT. The 1991 Dodge Stealth fuel pump cutoff relay switch is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. You will find the relay switch on the drivers side of the engine compartment.

It might be similar to the earlier models. Open the lift-gate and inside the jam should be two round screw covers as part of the plastic frame. These should pop open with a small flat blade screw driver. Remove the screws and the light unit should swing out providing access to the bulb bayonets. Hope this works for you.

The engine model number is stamped at the front left side (as you are looking at it) on the top edge of the cylinder block. Look under the top radiator hose to the right a little. The engine serial number is stamped near the engine model number. AA0201 to YY9990 . This description is right out of the manual

it depends on the year, from 91 to 93 they were controlled mechanically, 94 to 96 were electronic. so if gen 1 cable may have severed, gen 2 sensor may have failed or come unplugged

I currently own a 91 soch, but this is my second Stealth. My first was a 92 es dohc,,yes they have ECS. I had to replace it in mine.

timing belt tensioner has a small hole on it. Force the tensioner all the way back and stick a steel pin through to hold it from popping back out. Istall the belt and tensioner. You must feel tension on the belt even though the tensioner is not applying force on 0the belt yet. Release the pin. If youre having trouble with the cams rollig out of place while trying to install the belt. Cover all holes on the heads and intake with a cloth. Hand spin the cams and sSnap out rockers than become loose with a flat head scredriver. Install the belt and you should be able to snap the rockers back in with no problems. I had the same exact problem on my 92.

NO it's not a turbo, it has a 222horsepower DOHC motor.

MAS = mass airflow sensor, it measures the amount of air entering the intake plenum.

it sounds like your ISC is coked up. get a can of throttle body cleaner and clean your throttle body. Do NOT get throttle body/carb cleaner on the ISC. If you do, it will get in and destroy the coils on the inside and that may in turn fry your ECU. To check if it is your ISC, there is an analogue idle screw that will rev up your RPM. If this fixes it, do NOT leave the screw in that position. It's bad for your car. It means you need to either A. clean the throttle body out more or B. get a new ISC.
