You can buy drywall compound already mixed. If you don't have one, buy two putty knives (they're cheap) one small and one larger (for larger jobs.) If there are small holes in the drywall you can simply fill the hole with the drywall compound. You may need to give it a second application or even third application as the compound will shrink as it dries. When I apply it I am sure to make it even with the wallboard and clean up around the edges as this makes it easier to sand with a fine sand paper after. Let it dry over-night and then lightly sand with fine sand paper. For larger holes you will need to purchase a dry wall kit which includes a drywall patch to cover the area. Follow the directions in the dry wall kit which are pretty much the same as covering a smaller hole, you just need more of the drywall compound. The patch is needed to adhere the compound to the wall and to give it stability.

That is not your best idea, most old interior furniture has old varnish or stain on it. The older furniture finishes were oil or alcohol based. Drywall primer these days is a latex (water) base and will not adhere.

Go buy some drywall mud and sandpaper from the hardware store (someone there will be able to help you if you're not sure what you need). Smear the mud over the hole until filled and let it dry (may have to do this more than once if it's a big hole), then sand it until smooth. Paint over the mud spot with whatever paint you used on that particular wall.

once you remove the wallpaper, you have to remove ALL of the adhesive. most painting stores will have adhesive remover. follow the directions, let every thing dry, make necessary repairs to the walls, spot prime repaired areas, than apply 2 coats of paint

In the best of all possible worlds, YES. If you are doing new construction yourself, then a primer coat before installation of trim & cabinetry is fantastic. Wish more of the "pros" where that conscientious.

they figure a man can hang about 6-8 sheets 4x8 an hour - when you figure in cutting round outlets - windows ect. drywallers don't make alot of money say -8.00 to 15.00 an hour ....... drywall is usually charged by the square foot --- at .60-1.25 a foot including finishing ...... .15 to .40 just for hanging ...... question is why are you onlly hanging 4x8 sheets -- you should be hanging 4x8, 4x10, 4x12, 4x14, 4x16 whatever it takes to make as least amount of joints possible- that's how you save money !

when asking this question you first need to take into account that plywood comes in different thicknesses therefore weight per particualr thickness of sheet plywood will vary-- in my opinion/ without fact and research / a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood may way about 16 lbs. while a 3/4 inch plywood sheet may way 70 lbs.

Also assumed is that the drywall has been finished to level 3 specifications; meaning the drywall has been taped, bed-coated, then skim-coated with joint compound. Additional factors may include whether the ceiling can be reached from the floor or the job requires the use of scaffolding (which would double the price). A quality contractor, such as one signatory to the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, will produce a texture that is evenly applied and produces the subtle effect of "softening" the room. You will pay slightly more for the higher quality. For texture only (assuming the above caviats) expect to pay 10 to 15 cents per square foot. You may be able to find a qualified drywall finisher for a lesser price. Check the paint store. Keep in mind that just because someone gets paid to do a job does not mean he or she is a professional. If you want the highest quality contact your local IUPAT union office and ask for a list of signatory contractors.
