What is a giclée?
A giclée refers to the newest advancement in printing technology. It has only begun to be used in the arts community. With a "normal" print, the image is printed as a series of tiny dots which are rolled onto the paper by a number of different processes. In a high quality print like a lithograph, the dots are nearly invisible unless magnified. With a low quality print like a newspaper, the dots are quite visible even with the naked eye.
With giclée's the inks are actually sprayed into place similar to an ink jet printer. Even under a magnifier there seems to be no dots! Giclée's also use specially made inks with true light fast pigments. This ensures that the artwork you purchase will retain it's color. Get a rectangular piece of cardboard & bend it into a circle .Paste the inside with hot glue (glue gun) and then put the string on it. When the paste it dry, cut the cardboard & there u have it. A HOLLOW BALL OF STRING!

What are all the names of colors?
There are a limited amount of colors in art. Three primary colors are Red, Yellow and Blue. Three secondary colors can be made by mixing two primary. For example, Red and Blue (primary) make Purple (secondary). The other two secondary colors are Green and Orange.
The human eye can see a multitude of colors, all of which can be reproduced with mixtures of the six colors listed above. Artists' paint is sold in pigment colors like 'Sienna' or 'Cadmium Red' but is still limited to the color wheel of primary and secondary colors.
In a printed color image a basic four colors are used, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. These simple colors can simulate the multitude of color seen by the human eye.
