The flag of Jordan is based on the design of the Arab Revolt Flag of World War I. The flag features there horizontal bands of equal size and a red isosceles triangle. The top band is black and represents Abbassid Caliphate, the middle band is white and represents the Ummayyad Caliphate, and the bottom band is green and represents the Fatimid Caliphate. The red isosceles triangle on the left side of the flag represents the Arab Revolt of 1916. Inside the red triangle is a seven pointed star which symbolizes the opening verses of the Sura from the Holy Qur'an. The points represent: faith in one God, humanity, national spirit, humility, social justice, virtue, and aspirations.

They were painted that way for identification during the D-Day invasion, June 6th, 1944.

The Aboriginal flag is divided horizontally into equal halves of black at the top and red at the bottom, and has a yellow circle in the center. Black symbolizes the Aboriginal people, the red represents the earth and the and the yellow circle represents the sun.

The Torres Strait Islander flag has three horizontal panels, the top and bottom panels are green and the middle one blue. These panels are divided by thin black lines. The green is for the land, the blue is for the sea and the black represents the Torres Strait Islander people. In the centre of the flag is a white dancers headress which is a symbol for all Torres Strait Islander people. Underneath the dari is a white five-pointed star. These five points represent the island groups in the Torres Strait and the white stands for peace.

Purple reminds us of Gods royalty. Red represents the blood of Jesus. Black represents sin. Green encourages us to grow in Christ. White represents Christs forgiveness of sin and gold represents heaven.

The stars on the Venezuelan flag represent the original provinces of Venezuela, Caracas, Cumana, Barinas, Barcelona, Margarita, Mérida and Trujillo. In 2006 an eighth star was placed on the flag to represent the province of Guayana and as a tribute to Simon Bolivar.

There are no flags with only simple black-and-white stripes for any UN country.

However, both black and white stripes appear on the flags of Botswana, Brunei, Dominica, Egypt, Estonia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Mozambique, Sudan, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

The Brittany region of France has black-and-white stripes with an ermine canton remembering the flag of the United States or Greece.

You didn't really give much info as to the relationship you and your husband have. He could be joking if you have somewhat of a fiery temper (like waving a red flag in front of a bull.) LOL If you are having difficulties in your marriage he may be telling you he doesn't trust you and can see "red flags" (which means danger) such as you possibly cheating. If you care to elaborate on your situation just post under my post. It means your husband cant communicate well with you, if he cant tell you what the red flags are. Sounds like he's sheepishly is trying to tell you that ways he expected you to be or not to be are not what he thought before he married you. Ask him to be mature about this and tell you exactly what he means. If he chooses not to talk to you then you should Yellow flag him with caution.

When another patch is displayed, the American flag is to be positioned in the superior position (right side) with the union closest to the bearers heart.
