Is it true that house flies throw up on everything they land on?

Flies and RegurgitationWatch the movie "The Fly". They regurgitate on everything they are going to eat.
And here is an opposing view:
And is it vomit or excretion from the other end?
I'm not sure about this, but I always thought it was that a fly craps on everything it lands on? Seperate from the crapping and landing, I was also told that they DO vomit on whatever they eat, to help the process along. But this would be two different questions if they do crap where they land, AND vomit on what they eat. Hmmmmmmm...
I do not know if it is vomit or poop, but my question is what difference does it make? Whatever it is, is sickening, not to mention unhealthy. If you want to prove they leave either vomit or poop on everything, do an experiment. Go to a place where there are lots of flies. Lay down a piece of white paper and leave it for a time. I think 30 minutes would be long enough, but it might take longer. Return to the paper. Look at the little dots. Whatever it is, vomit or poop, it came from the flies.
AnswerYes. I saw it on Animal Planet once
The fly is not regurgitating. Flies secrete saliva (drool) onto whatever they're eating. They're not eating your desk surface, your plate, your table, your hand - whatever else they land on. So no, they don't spit and drool EVERY TIME they land. They never vomit. Flies don't actually do that. They're spit is not what you need to worry about anyway. The reason a fly is unsanitary is because they land lots of places: On dung piles, bathroom floors, trash cans, toilets, animals.... THAT'S why flies are gross and dirty, and why you should not eat food they've landed on. Otherwise, you may be the one vomitting.
The answer is NO, flies do not throw up everytime they land. For those that say yes, with caveats, the answer is incorrect. The question asks if the flies throw up everytime they land, thus the answer is no.
How do you get rid of horseflies in the house?
I found out putting a couple of shiny copper pennies in a plastic baggy filled half with clear water does the job. Fleas and other biting insects have a certain chemical protein in their saliva that breaks down the host's blood. This chemical also numbs the area that is being biten that is why you are always unaware of a tick bite. It eventually reacts with the flesh by causing it to swell up which then causes an uncomfortable itching.
How do you treat black fly bites?
There are several good products out on the market. I use "Bite Be Gone". Ask your pharmacist.
My friend also told me that Vitamin E oil works very well. She tried it and her bites were very UN noticeable and it stopped itching! Try it!
Should you fly with a cold or is it dangerous?
Cold sores are not dangerous or life threatening. But they are contagious so if you have a cold sore don't kiss any one or share things like utensils or cups when you have a cold sore.
How do you know if a housefly is in your ear?
It is very unlikely you have a fly in your ear since flies tend to be quick and cautious and would not usually put themselves in that danger. If you are having hearing problems on one side and you feel there is something in the ear, it is more likely you have a buildup of hardened earwax. Although there are over-the-counter kits to soften and remove this wax, it is more advisable to see a doctor, especially if you are uncertain as to what is in the ear. If it is wax, the doctor will flush the ear with a large syringe-like instrument. This process is painless with little or no discomfort and will improve your hearing by a phenomenal amount.
Whatever it is, do not try to remove it with a Q-tip, as you will just push it in deeper.
No, flies regurgitate their saliva onto their food then eat it. this is spitting and NOT vomiting

What should you do if you swallow a maggot?
I would imagine the bile your gallbladder makes would kill all the bacteria and the maggot itself, then it would just pass through your system. I would not recommend drinking a lot of fluids because that would dilute the bile that is taking care of the bacteria. So, the answer is actually don't do anything.
Mice will eat most fruits, but there are some that aren't good for them, such as acidic fruits like tomato, orange, lemon, etc... Again, the same with vegetables, they like them, but cannot have acidic ones like onion and garlic. Mice do enjoy leafy vegetables and crunchy fruits, such as apples. Grains and seeds are good (and reasonably cheap) and mice do enjoy them.

Depends on the biplane. Developements in airplane technology was pretty impressive during the war.
For instance, the best fighter in the early stages of the war, the Fokker Eindecker E.III had a top speed of 87 mph (140 km/h) and a flight time of 1.5 hours. In 1915, this airplane was the terror of the skies. By the middle of 1916, the Eindecker was a relic - outdated and slow.
The Sopwith Snipe, introduced in 1918 had a top speed of 121 mph (195 km/h) and could fly for 3 hours.
The airplane Von Richtofen was shot down in, the Fokker Dr. I (triplane) had a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h). It would stall out at the low speed of 75 mph.

Why might a geneticist use fruit flies to study how genes function?
Fruit flies have a short generation time, produce numerous offspring, and share many genes with humans. This makes them ideal for genetic studies that aim to understand how genes function and interact. Additionally, fruit flies are easy and inexpensive to maintain in a laboratory setting.
Why do flies avoid plastic bags of water?
Flies have good eyes, as they are compound. When they see the bags, their internal predator alerts go off: the water bags look like pond water. Generally when frogs want to catch a fly they hide under pond water.....
