This means that the flutes are getting closer in tune. Because the pitches are closer together, the two slightly different frequencies produce smaller waves that become nearer and nearer to each other until they become one wave (in tune). The faster the frequency, the closer the pitches are to becoming the same pitch.
Likewise, the more out of tune two flutes become, the slower the frequency difference between them will be. If they continue to move in opposite directions, the two flutes will simply be playing two different notes.
I believe you're referring to flutes made by Doug Tipple. He makes small bore flutes as well as low pitched Irish flutes. http://dougsflutes.googlepages.com/
Why does a speaker produce a noisy whistle tone?
The speaker is only doing what it is being told to do by the signal from the amplifier. That's your problem, not the speaker. If you switch the speaker with one from a system that doesn't whistle, and it starts whistling, I'd say that proves it's the amp.

What is the tin whistle made out of?
The tin whistle, also known as a penny whistle, is typically made from metal, often brass or nickel-plated brass, which gives it a bright, resonant sound. Some versions are also made from plastic or wood, offering different tonal qualities. The mouthpiece is usually made of the same material as the body, and the whistle may be finished with a coating or lacquer for durability and aesthetics. Overall, the choice of materials affects both the instrument's sound and appearance.
How did they make baseballs a long time ago?
The process of making baseballs have changed little over the years. Two pieces of figure-eight-shaped cowhide is dampened to permit pliability and placed around a string wound core, then placed in the stitching clamp to secure the baseball during the process of sewing on the cover by hand. Pilot holes were pre punched into the covers to help guide the stitching, and stapled together to hold in place for sewing. The baseball is then hand-stitched together with 216 raised stitches. It takes about 13-14 minutes to hand sew a baseball.
This process has been used since the earliest days of baseball. For more information on vintage baseball stitching clamps, and the making of baseballs I will leave some links below. -Steven KeyMan
