How do you replace the fuel filter on a 1989 Ford Bronco II?

The fuel filter on my 1989 Bronco II (2.9 V6) is located next to the frame rail under the driver's door (under the vehicle). There are 2 plastic clips that go through the fuel line fittings that will need to be pried out - one at each end of the filter. These will probably break when you take them out - but that's ok because the new filter should come with new clips. Keep in mind that there should be quite a bit of pressure in the fuel line, and when you pull the first clip & open the fuel line up, lots of fuel will spray out - take appropriate protective measures prior to opening up the fuel line: do NOT use an electric light (flashlight would be better), and make sure you wear appropriate eye protection. The manual says to relieve the pressure first. If you don't think you can do this safely, then take it to the shop. There's also a metal bracket/strap around the filter that will need to be removed at some point to get the old filter out.
