push the plastic clips, disconnect the hoses then pull out the filter. you don't need to top the new filter with diesel, just turn on the ignition until you hear a click then it is ready to go.

to adjust the hand brake you first have to loosen the hand brake witch at the hand brake its self. simpley pull back the cover thatr sourounds the hand brake. u will then see a 6mm threaded rod poping out. the nut that is on the end has 2b screwd off. you will need a 10mm socket for this. adjust totaly off then ur brakes will be free. once u have done your rear brakes then u can adjust the hand brake up by tightening the nut until u hav about 3 to 4 clicks.

pull the indicator stalk the full way back and then release, they shodu stay on. repeat this to turn the fogs off

Under the passenger side near the wheel well going into the engine compartment you'll see the fuel filter. You can follow the WARNING tagged fuel line from the gas tank in the rear.

First, disconnect the positive post of the battery for safety reasons. Next, depressurize the fuel system by locating the threaded valve stem up on the engine next to the carburetor. It looks like a tire stem valve except it is metal. Push on the inside stem pin with a small tool to release the pressure.

Next, get a plastic container to catch the remaining fuel in the fuel line. A plastic gallon milk container rinse out with the upper part cut off works fine.

The filter is clamped on with one metric bolt and clamp. First, remove the in port clip by squeezing the two out plastic taps. You can pull the hose away from the filter. Use the plastic container to catch the fuel drain from both the filter and the feed line from the gas tank.

Next, remove the metric bolt to release the clamp holding the filter.

Remove the filter exit hose the same way as the inlet hose.

Install the new one the same way and direction as the old. The best way is to clip the exit hose onto the new filter, bolt the new filter with the hold clamp, clip the inlet hose to the new filter.

The fuel drained into the plastic container will probably have sediment and debris because of the back drain out of the old filter. It is best to discard the small amount of fuel properly and not introduce it to fuel in the gas tank.

One is in the engine bay on the nearside, the other is in the car, just to the right and down a bit,of the steering wheel there is a tray type thing, pull that out and the fuses are behind that.

Depending if you try to start the vehicle or not and the age of the vehicle Pre 94 /95 you may well get away with draining the tank priming the pump through to return and filling up with diesel, as many early diesels cope with mixed fuel for arctic conditions Anything newer and you tried to start it faces pump failure due to modern tolerances during manufacture

This, I presume is the last year of the type which had the squarish design of lights and rectangular reflectors, before Ford changed to the round lights and reflectors? If this is the case, there's a big plastic wing nut holding the light cluster in place and it's not obvious! You have to reach inside to the back of the light cluster and feel for the wing nut. Unscrew it and the light cluster will come loose. Then get hold of the light cluster with both hands and pull forward firmly, to unplug the two plastic pegs on the outside. If it's the newer design with two screws on the edge covered by the hatchback, they are T25 Torx screws, not Phillips or Pozidrive! The bulb is the usual bayonet 5W/21W side/brake light bulb.

second : basically im running my power cable from battery , next to were the passenger door , bonnet and side bumper meet there is a little cap .. (bigger enough to run power cable to amp) ... as i can't find anywhere to run from battery threw the cars fire wall the rest of the video should cover it mate

Third: where the plastic edging from where the passenger seat and door meet i tucked the wires underneath there fits fine and its hidden

Fourth: grounding it , i grounded my amp next to the rear lights .. there is a bolt , remove the bolt put grounding wire around and tighten it as it was

Programming mode now enabled for approx 20 seconds proceed as below a,Point key at receiver, (located near interior lamp) b, press and hold UNLOCK button, after 1 second key LED will flash once c, press LOCK button 3-5 times d, release UNLOCK button e, keep key pointed at receiver until LEDs in clock and key have flashed 5 times Repeat above within 20 secs to program remaining keys To exit programming mode, switch ignition ON and OFF and wait approx 20 secs.

Sounds like the door light switch is faulty. The switch is located in the door jam and is held in place by a couple of screws. You can pick up a new switch for a few £s and it only takes a few minutes to fix.

Remove the plastic cover to screw in the lashing eye if the vehicle is being carried on a transporter. The lashing eye is normally stored clipped on to the side jack in the spare wheel well.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the temp sensor in between the spark plugs. Once replaced ran like a dream

Hi, what you need to do is first of all buy a cigarette lighter from a car store (just get one of those universal ones) or go to a scarp yard and get one from there, then all you have to do is wire it straight up to your battery! run the cables behind the dash then under your bonet. make sure you secure all the cables so the dont get caught up or melt and short on you engine! If your going to do it that way rather than to wire it into the loom be sure to put an inline fuse in or you'll probalby end up melting the wire!!!

i recently brought a fiesta and never checked the oil level untill i noticed the light coming on when braking at junctions. i used a bottle and half of SW/30 especially for fords that i purchased from Tesco.

Make sure the engine is cool before adding it in otherwise it could make the engine seize :?

early xr2i's with external EDIS can swap ecus with no problem

later spec xr2i's have internal EDIS and external pats,

you cant swap an early ecu with a later ecu,

you cant swap a pats ecu with a non pats ecu (pats is the Ford Passive Anti Theft System)

did you ever figure out if you can do this as i want to do the same
