You must use a 12 volt power supply(I.e battery charger) to "hot wire" wires going to motor. If possible, unplug the wires going in to motor and jump the terminals. If plug is not accessible you may need to carefully shave insulation off wire to expose a contact point. If the window doesn't move at first, remember its d/c. Switching the hot and ground will run the window in opposite directions.

Unless you need to access the control switch that moves the mirror you should only have to remove that black triangle shaped panel that is located on the inside portion of the door just on the other side of the mirror. If you need to take the door panel off?;; Take the plastic reflector plate off the bottom corner of the door off and remove the screw, if there is one in there. There is one more screw located right under the inside door handle, take that one out as well. Grab a really flat screwdriver and slowly slide it in between the platic and the metal of the door and slowly pull out. If you start with the bottom two corners it will be easier. There are pull out clips located on the left, bottom and front of the panel. It is something like three on each side and four or five equally spaced out. Once all the clips are out you have to lift the door panel upwards(BECAREFUL-there are cables connected to the window and lock switches. When you reinstall the panel make sure you get the door pin back through that little hole when you lower the panel back over that window lip. Hope this helps.

Remove the flip down mirrors, the dome light, and the plastic moldings around the door (If you want to be able to reuse it). Then simply pull carefully it is hooked by corkboard and glue strips. Once its out you can carefully remove it through either door for reuse or simply fold it in half. All pieces removed will go back in without a new headliner for common use until you get one.

If it is like my 98 Grand Marquis, it is incorporated within the hazard flasher switch on top of the steering column. Before spending money to get it repaired, try squirting some WD 40 around the switch and push it down and let it pop up several times and wiggle it around. It worked for me when my flashers, turn signals, and brake lights stop working. Apparently, over the years gunk finds it way in there, be it dirt, liquids, etc. Pressing the flasher switch can sometimes initiate the problem. There is no plug-in "flasher" you can replace as you may remember in older vehicles. Good luck. It is really simple. First you remove the belt by using the correct tool whether it is a certain sized wrench or a socket wrench. Then you unbolt the tensioner from the engine. There is usually only one bolt that holds the tensioner to the engine. Instalation is the reverse of removal.
