How many people died per month in concentration camps?

There were 20,000 concentration camps, ghettos and labor camps throughout Europe with the largest amount being in Germany. Not all of the camps and ghettos were designed or designated to be "murder camps". So they did not all have the same amount of deaths per month as you ask about. I have heard from historians who estimated that at the beginning of the incarceration of the Jews and undesirable people there were thousands who were killed each month or year. Towards the end of the war they guesstimate there were 70,000 deaths a month throughout Europe but that is not a solid figure. If you need the exact averages during certain years or months the United States Memorial Museum of the Holocaust could possibly supply you with those figures. See the link below.

What did Hitler do in history?

It has been remarked that if Adolf Hitler had died in 1938, he would have been the greatest statesman in the history of Germany. He rallied Germany from economic devastation and humiliation as a result of the terms of the Treaty of Versaille. The treaty declared that Germany was to blame for WWI. This was not true, but since the Allies were looking for a way to receive financial reparations for their war debts, and the Germans had deep pockets, it was a convenient lie. The German economy was devastated by the large payments required and created hyperinflation. Germany eventually defaulted on their reparations. The British stock exchange crashed the following day. The next business day, "Black Monday," October 29, 1929, the American market crashed and marked the beginning of the Great Depression. Hitler and the Nazi party provided a sense of national pride to the German people. Of course, Hitler went on to destroy the continent with war, but at first, he was an inspirational national leader. During this period and through the war, he and his party's treatment of the Jews and his political opponents which was brutal and reprehensible.

Adolf Hitler, ironically, is often recognized as the greatest public speaker of the 20th century. His speaking style is widely studied for its stirring delivery style. The content of his speeches are not applauded, but he was a soaring orator.

How did Stalin try to take over Berlin and how was he prevented by the West in 1948-49?

After the Second World War, Germany was divided in to four zones of occupation where each of the four major allies, Britiain, the U.S., Russia and France, exercised military governing authority. Berlin was deep inside the Russian zone but because it was the capital of Germany it was also divided in to four zones. West Berlin, that is those parts of the city occupied by the U.S. Britiain and France, received all of its food and fuel by rail from outside the Russian zone. So, Stalin, trying to force the Western allies to give Russia all of Berlin, blocked the railroads leading from western Germany into the city. President Truman met the challenge by organizing an airlift. Cargo planes, operating 24 hours a day, carried in tons of food, gasoline and coal. This went on for months. Finally Stalin gave up and lifted the blockade. Michael Montagne

Did the Soviets control the east side of Germany?

East Berlin and West Berlin are in Germany, not the Soviet Union.

The city of Berlin was divided into four "sectors" after World War II. The Soviets got the eastern third of the city. The French got a small sector in the north of Berlin, the British got the middle part and the Americans the south.

Where did they get the Nazi sign?

AnswerThe swastika is an ancient symbol. But there is a difference between the different swastikas in history. The Native American and east Indians have had swastikas in their art, but the arms face left, and not right as in the Nazi swastika. The Nazi swastika, is pagan in nature (Germanic I believe) and is symbolic of the god THOR. It is said that the early Nazis "borrowed" the swastika from Finland. By the way, the Finns also used the swastika on their tanks and planes during WW-2. AnswerUm, my friend moved here when he was 12, from Germany, and he said that the swastika meant Family (in German) not the god Thor.. also my friends name is Thor, and his name means god of thunder, so that wouldn't really make any sense. AnswerActually what I had learned in school was that the swastika was once the ancient Romans' symbol for Christianity and the reason for this is cause the Roman who made the swastika chopped the original cross "†" in to 4 pieces and made the swastika out of that.

What land did Hitler want to take over?

If you are looking to rekindle a little romance between you and your partner, then you may want to consider starting in the bedroom. Taking out all distractions that take the focus off one another and adding in romantic touches, will go a long way in getting your relationship back on track.

Make a tech free zone. As hard as this step may be for you, it will pay off big in other ways. Unplug the television, the game console and hide the remote. Watching TV and playing video games is one of the biggest time suckers when it comes to taking our attention off those we love. Forget channel surfing and set your attention on your partner. Another time waster is mindlessly surfing the Web, so take it to the other room before temptation strikes. Soft, mood music bodes well when stoking the romance fire, so any music device can stay.

Use scents generously.Aromatherapy candles and scented oils in heady scents of lavender, vanilla, ylang ylang, oranges and jasmine can really get you feeling amorous. It is hard to resist the romantic ambiance generated by the lovely scent and warm glow of a good candle. Place candles atop tables, in candle holders, votives and large candelabras. Besides the scent, the glow gives a luminous quality to the skin and eyes. Add fresh flowers in vases close to the bed for a natural fragrance.

Make it oh, so comfortable. Invest in luxury linens like 600 count Egyptian sheets, a super thick mattress pad made of down, and a silk or velvet comforter. Think about purchasing a new pillow top or memory foam mattress for those indulgent Sunday mornings in bed. Add in down pillows in different textures and colors. Hang drapes with black out lining at all windows to keep light out for when you want to sleep in together.

With all of the stress and sensory overload we face on a daily basis, it will take a concerted effort to create a place where you both can escape and shut the world out. Design a romantic room together and make sure to keep it just for yourselves; you’ll be happier for it.
