What are the legal issues with repossessing a car that is being hidden in a storage facility by an employee?

The finance company has the right to "self-help" in most states. This means they can hire a repo man to come and take the car in a public place as long as they don't breach the peace. So it is not per se illegal to make it more difficult for them to find it. But at some point, purposely hiding a car becomes illegal and a violation of law. In the same vein, the finance company always has the right to sue the person and obtain a right of return action or Order of Replevin. With this in hand, they can engage the Sheriff to come to your house and you MUST turn over the vehicle at that time. So it's a game. The creditor wants to self-help and avoid a lawsuit and the debtor wants to hide it and keep it a little bit longer. At some point it becomes illegal. Legally the leinholder owns the car hiding it can lead to the leinholder taking legal actions and a person could actually get charged with grand theft auto

Why is thalidomide still available today?

THE FIRST CONTRIBUTOR ARGUED:

Thalidomide has legitimate medical uses. For example, it can be used to treat [Hansen]'s disease (used to be called leprosy) and multiple myeloma.

The risk vs reward ratio for all drugs must be carefully evaluated. The risk for pregnant women taking thalidomide for morning sickness clearly outweighs any possible benefit that the woman might receive through the mitigation of her morning sickness. So those women taking thalidomide for other treatment must take every precaution against becoming pregnant. But this is no different than other drugs that are demonstrated teratogens, such as Acutane, which is prescribed for the control of serious acne

THIS CONTRIBUTOR CALLS HIMSELF THE SECOND CONTRIBUTOR AND REPLIES:

Every mother knows that her child should not play with a toy the child does not understand. The mechanism of the biological action of thalidomide is still being debated.

Human nature is constituted as such that some individuals who have inside knowledge about the effects of thalidomide will 'always' deliberately and unnoticeably cause the serious harm thalidomide can 'so easily' cause. They do that precisely because the damage is so serious to the mother and to the child and because they can do that so easily and without being noticed. It may be that 'in clinical trials', thalidomide is shown to be effective against many things. But 'in real life', it is given to unsuspecting girls.

TWO REMAINING PUZZLES (for the second contributor):

ONE

Thalidomide is a cure against Hansen's disease, leprosy.

The second contributor is no medical doctor, but his understanding of leprosy is that it "takes" limbs "away". (1)

The effect of thalidomide on foetuses is thus similar to the symptoms of leprosy on human beings.

Still, thalidomide is cure of/against leprosy.

Since Aristotle, the principle of non-contradiction (the PNC) says that it is impossible to be and not to be at the same time and in the same respect. Contrary to what many authors argue, this principle, or law, is not applicable to reality, only to thought. (2)

Thought is submitted to the PNC. Reality is not.

How can the thought of the advocates of the use of thalidomide get away with the apparent contradiction that thalidomide is both the cause of and the cure of leprosy(-like symptoms)?

Is it being argued that using thalidomide on pregnant women and using it on non-pregnant people suffering of leprosy is using it in a different respect?

Multiple myeloma, say the ophthalmologists?

TWO

Thalidomide attacked the embryo, not the infant. It attacked the sensory, not the motor "nerves". (3)

It thus did not act on the limb bud. Indeed, thalidomide caused upper limb deformities by action before the limb had existed. (4)

The damaging drug may have been developed by the Nazis as an antidote to "nerve" gas. (5)

Again, the second contributor is no medical doctor, but he's surprised by the double occurrence of the same noun "nerve".

THE ULTIMATE PUZZLE:

Why is thalidomide still available today?

NOTES

(1)

Left untreated, leprosy can be progressive, causing permanent damage to the skin, nerves, limbs and eyes. Leprosy does not directly cause body parts to fall off on their own accord; instead they become disfigured or autoamputated as a result of disease symptoms.

Contrairement à ce qu'affirment beaucoup d'auteurs, ces principes [the principle of non-contradiction, the law of the excluded-middle and the law of identity] sont des Lois logiques ou des Lois de pensée comme telle et non des Lois de l'ordre réel.

How much alcohol did john Bonham drink?

There is thing that is cllaed ADWords. Google has information on it and I am sure Yahoo does too. But what this does is you pick some words that are relevant to your company/ website. Everytime a person puts that word in your ad that will probably be place on the righthand side of the search page will show up. If a person clicks on your ad then you get charged for that click. Google allows you to see how much each word will cost. I recently did one on wineries which costs $ .05 per click and would put the ad that I designed top 1-3. This ad will be linked to your website. You only get charged per click and you can set a budget. If you look into it go to Google.com and click on the Advertising Programs link and that will get you more information.

How can information technology help in pollution control?

Primarily it allows people to build automated and precise monitoring systems as well as complex projection models. IT departments can help in pollution control by utilizing their current infrastructure to it's highest potential instead of just upgrading everything every 3 years. Recycling old computers helps but it still pollutes more than re-tasking older machines to low-end servers.

How do you put yourslef into any image using Photoshop I have Photoshop cs5 have no idea how to use it please help I want to put a picture of all our family and put it to look like we are in Hawaii?

First off, simply having Photoshop will not allow you to superimpose yourself in any image. You can, but that does not mean it will look real. You will need to match the lighting and angle of the light when you are taking your family picture so that it matches the lighting of the hawaii picture. You will also need to match the angle of your picture to the Hawaii pic if the ground or any buildings are in the background, or it will look unnatural. You will need to mask out or remove all the additional space around your family so that you can layer your family over the Hawaii pic. You will also need to learn about color correction, so that you can match the overall amount of Reds, Greens, and Blues in your family pic so that it has the same overall brightness, saturation, and hue/tint as the Hawaii pic. Then you need to make sure that the overall sharpness of your family pic matches that of the Hawaii pic. In addition to that, the picture needs to have a shadow at the feet of your family that goes in the same direction as the Hawaii pic, if you do not have a shadow, however light, it will make it look like your family is floating, and if it goes in a different direction from all the other shadows it will look unnatural (this is another reason why proper lighting when taking the picture is important).

If you are new to using photoshop, you can find free tutorials on the Adobe website ranging from beginner to advanced.
