Honda Passport

The bumper is connected to the main body of vehicle with 4 bolts and square nuts (2 on each side left and right). These bolts are right in front of the front wheels. Unscrew these bolts and then remove the indicator wiring then the bumper will come with the side trims and the plastice fendor under it.

Then it is pretty obvious to do the rest.

There could be many reasons as to why this car will not start up. The battery could be drained, the starter, starter solenoid or alternator could be going bad, or there could be an issue within the fuel system.

i need to know where the tail shaft is located on a 2001 handa passport?

In my 2000 Passport there is a brushguard under the oil pan. You can remove the brush guard by taking out a few bolts, or if you've got a big enough drain pan just let the oil spill on the guard. The easiest way I found to get the oil filter was to go from above with a filter wrench.

This is a very involved operation and I suggest buying a service amnual before starting, but it is also just like any other rear or 4 wheel drive vehicle. Remove all linkages, lines, hoses, driveshafts, and brackets, then remove all bolts holding the bell housing to the engine. Support the transmission and remove the transmission mount, then pull back on the transmission and lower to the ground.

Its really screwed up how they have that. You actually have to get under the vehicle and take out the overflow bolt to check/ fill the transmission. If I remember right, you turn take out plug and squirt in the trans. oil with a syringe until it spills out. Then you turn on the engine and let it run for a few mins and while its running use the syringe to put in more oil until it starts dripping out. That's also how you check the levels.

Then of course you put the overflow bolt back in ;)

Open driver's door and leave open. 3. Put key in ignition. 4. Turn key to 'on position' (dash lights on, but do not start) and back to 'off position' 3 times in 5 seconds or less. (you must turn the key very fast) 5. Close and open driver's door 2 times in 5 seconds or less. 6. Turn key to 'on position' and back to 'off position' 5 times in 5 seconds or less. (turn key very fast) 7. Close and open driver's door the doors should lock and unlock twice after this happens push the lock or unlock button on the remote, doors will lock and unlock. Push the lock or unlock button a second time and doors will lock and unlock again. You are finished! The above sequence erases all previous codes and adds the new code as #1. If you are adding a second remote, you should follow the same sequence with the exception of step 6; instead of turning the key to the 'on position' and back to the 'off position' 5 times in 5 seconds or less, do it 3 times in 5 seconds or less and then continue to step 7. ***Remember to turn the key to the on and off position very fast. This works! Follow directions EXACTLY. I had to try 3-4 times before getting it to work. I failed to go exactly by the instructions the first few times.

There is a bolt u have to take out to see if the fluid is full .. The bolt is located under the car by the transmission .. only way to check and fill the transmission fluid

I have 01 passport, might not be the same but there should be 2 Phillips screws hidden on the side of the tail ight remove them and pull it straight back out it has the prong that slides into rubber grommet

under the backseat lift it up first and pull the carpit up it is velcrowed together and there are little compartments under both of them

The engine oil capacity, of your 1999 Honda Passport, is for quarts. The manufacturer recommends; you do not over fill the motor oil.

back of engine just left of the engine block. It is a little silver cylinder.

The starter could be close to the exhaust pipe, and the solenoid could be getting hot and might have a failure on the coil.

I had a stuck throttle on my 1996 Passport. The throttle cable had a piece of protective black rubber around the throttle cable between the outer cable covering and where the cable connects to the throttle body. The rubber had began to come apart and some of it was getting inside the throttle cable covering, causing the throttle cable to bind. I removed the rubber piece and cleaned out the cable by covering it with GOOF-OFF and then sliding the cable in and out until my cleaning rag was clean when I wiped off the cable. I did not replace the rubber piece and have had no problems since.

remove both front and rear driveshafts or if your 4x4 shifter has a neutral position put the transfer case in neutral and transmission in neutral and it should be fine if no neutral is presant in the 4x4 selection remove drive shafts.

The A/T oil light indicates that your automatic transmission fluid is hot. Check to make sure it is filled properly. If it is then take it to a shop to have them diagnose the issue.

Theres probably a collision cut-off. Normally on the bulkhead. Local dealership or autoclub will confirm

if you raise the hood and look right on top of the headlight assembly, there is a little screw right in the corner facing up (right where the body panel comes to a point over the light). remove this screw and you kinda have to pop the back bottom corner out, usually with a flathead screwdriver (carefull not to chip the paint). then it just swings down and out

I'm not sure which plug (bolt) it is, but there is supposed to be one plug for filling the transmission and one to tell when the fluid is at the correct level. There isn't a dipstick.

My honda passport 3.2 litter, to set the timing my belt has three timing marks on the outside of the belt, crank the motor over till you see the two belt marks towards the top of the cam shaft or around thier if one is at top the other cam can not be seen so botn cams have to be tilted set both belt marks to the cam shaft marks. When the belt comes off dont get the cams out of phase they tend to unwind a bit, put back. A nd the crank shaft has a green timing mart on it after you pull off the pulley and cover, so match the other timing belt mark on the belt to the crank shaft mark then put the tensioner back on now it is on dead set timing.

Crankshaft sensor on Honda/Isuzu 3.2l V6 is located on the lower passenger side engine block . If you look through the wheel well at the block just behind the motor mount you will see the wiring harness plug going in.
