What do I do if you want to be pregnant at fifteen?
Wow - that's a big thing. I would start by asking yourself WHY. Do you want attention? If so, you'll get it in the beginning, then you may feel you never get attention and the baby gets all of it, while you're tired and cranky because you never get any sleep, and every waking hour is spent on taking care of the baby. Do you want something to do? The baby will require constant attention and care, so you would definitely have something to do - but you won't be able to go out with your friends, and it would be hard to take a baby on a date. How will you support yourself and your baby? Would the father be involved? Are you willing to not buy new clothes for yourself because the baby will need so much? Do you know how much diapers alone cost in the first year? Take a parenting class to find out. An area hospital or Planned Parenthood may be able to help. No money for class? Then you DEFINITELY don't have enough money to have a child. Expect the government to pay for it all? Then you're just borrowing the money from your child, who will have to pay higher taxes because you didn't want to wait. The money has to come from somewhere. Honey, this is a big step - you may be willing to make the sacrifices needed but it's not fair to the baby for you to start so young. Being mature enough to make this decision based on what's right for the baby is the first step in being responsible enough to be a parent. It takes a lot of love to be a parent - and it takes some tough love too - on yourself in making this hard decision based on what's right for the baby, for example. Please wait until you're older - find a hobby - photography, drawing, travel, movies, volunteer or work as a kennel kid for a vet or animal control in your city - whatever you're interested in that doesn't hurt anyone - join a group that enjoys the same things you like, maybe try babysitting or working for a day care so you can enjoy working with kids on a part time basis for now, and have more of your life to yourself before you dedicate most of it to your children. You'll enjoy it more if you wait, are in a stable marriage and financially ready. And you just have to trust me on this one.

That depends on whether you have an allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the things IN the pad. The concept of the pads are that they adhere to your feet and "draw out" toxins from your body. Because the pads change color and look "dirty" after you've worn them all night long, the claim that toxins have been dragged from your system is bolstered. The idea that these poorly defined toxins, can be drawn from the body through the soles of the feet, via some kind of osmotic process, has no demonstrable basis in fact. The problem is, there is NO peer reviewed, double-blind, clinical study that has been made of the claimed health benefits of these products. The manufacturers of these things offer loads of testimonial and anecdotal evidence, but ask them to produce a clinical study, and suddenly there's nothing to be found. The people who buy these things WANT them to work, so by virtue of the placebo effect, they feel better. Even though these pads do nothing to actually remove toxins from the body, they are not entirely benign. Some of these pads contain vinegar, which can be highly irritating to the skin, and can cause burns to the bottom of the feet. Users of these pads have reported occurrences of night-sweats, heart palpitations and terrifying dreams. The human body is much better equipped to rid itself of toxins than many people seem to think, and rarely requires "help". The best way to flush toxins is to stay well hydrated, eat a healthy diet, maintain a steady weight, get plenty of sleep, and let the body do the rest!

Generally, a surviving spouse is responsible for medical expenses in Wisconsin. However, you should consult with an attorney or an agency that assists elders (if you qualify) to confirm that you are responsible for all bills. What medications can a patient with a nasogastric tube take?
Any medications that are able to be crushed or pulverized without clogging the tube are acceptable. Non-crushable medications should have a label placed on the prescription vial by a pharmacist that indicates this. In addition, most prescription (or even OTC products) with a suffix "-XR, -SR, -SA, -XL, -CD, - EC" usually indicate a specially coated or long-release form of a product that needs to be swallowed whole, and neither split or crushed. Soft gelatin capsules like vitamin E or fish oil may be pierced by a pin and the contents placed into the tube, and this and all meds given this way need to be thoroughly flushed to be sure the whole dose was given.
What is the average length of time spent in a hospital?
It has dropped over the years and that trend continues. In today's US society it is less then 72 hours. About six hours of that time is spent checking your insurance documents, medical history and finding you a bed. Even worse, it seems that the check-out time requires a minimum of six hours from the Doctor's Release to the front door. * Check In and Check Out for 12 hours. * Tests and waiting on a gurney in the hallway for 12 hours. * Sleep, interupted periodically for meds and tests for 12 hours. * Treatment and surgery no more then two hours. * Dining on Nutritious Hospital cuisine for two hours. * Post-operative treatment and therapy for two hours. * Noise, confusion, chaos and boredom for 30 hours, and finally home. And try that in a Veterans Hospital Facility and you can expect less care, comfort and concern, (not for lack of trying, but for a lack of staff to patient ratio), increased beuracrcy and a ten fold increase in chaos an confusion. The US continues to have the finest, most poorly served and most expensive medical system on earth. It works for the wealthy, exploits the middle class and restricts the poor from basic health care.

Can you go to the emergency room for an abscess tooth?
Yes, you can. An emergency room can NEVER turn away anyone, whether it be for inability to pay, or type of injury, or whatever. There are a couple of things to be aware of, though.
1. You're seen in the order of importance of treatment. Obviously, people with more serious issues are seen before you, so you might be waiting for a very long time.
2. One visit can cost $500 or more, which you're billed later for. The cost of waiting can be pretty bad, obviously.
If you do have a regular doctor, but not a dentist, and this happens during the week, or you can get in contact with your regular doctor on the weekends, call them. Most doctors will be sympathetic with your needs regarding teeth, and will at least give you a prescription for the antibiotics you need, and maybe even some pain pills.
The big point is, it never hurts to ask your regular doctor for help.
