How to contribute to the well being and improve the quality of life of animals?
I volunteer for Pet Network in Canada. We try to change the laws against the cruelty to animals and 100% of all donations goes towards ALL pets, be it dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, etc. We sell artwork re dogs/cats (nice artwork), have Santa come around so your pet can have their picture taken with Santa and all proceeds go towards the animals and help the sick and injured ones. We have a special park we go too and bring cats and dogs so people can see how precious they are and we have a high adoption rate. That's a start. Then, if you want to take things further be at a higher level as an advocate to change the Cruelty to Animals Laws. They are very weak in the U.S. and Canada.
In Australia, there are various animal welfare agencies such as the RSPCA. One way to contribute is volunteering your time at this organisation. Also, you can make monetary donations or obtain a list of items they require ie blankets, dog toys, dog leashes, cat toys etc and donate towards that. Another way is to be personally observant and if you see pets being neglected or abused in any way, to report the incident. Another way is to always personally value your own pets in how you look after them. Always ensure they have fresh drinking water, and food in their bowls, have worming tablets, regular checkups to the vets for immunizations etc. You could become a wildlife warrior, refer to Australia Zoo website for that.
To make mouthwash at home, you can mix together water, a small amount of baking soda, a few drops of essential oil (such as peppermint or tea tree oil), and a pinch of salt. Stir the ingredients well, then use the mixture as you would commercial mouthwash by swishing it around in your mouth for about 30 seconds before spitting it out. Adjust the ingredients to suit your preference.
Decomposition is the breaking down of ORGANIC matter and is broken into much simpler organisms
water is not an organic material there for it wouldn't happen
water is a very complex thing: the whole "snow flake" thing, you can melt it and refreeze the water and it will create the same pattern or shape.. just put that out there
Firstly, ensure the item you want to clean, is actually brass. If it isn’t brass, you could end up tarnishing it rather than cleaning. The easiest way to check is to see if a magnet sticks to it. If it’s real brass, the magnet will not stick. If it does stick – do some further investigating and don’t clean it until you’re sure of the metal. Don’t use anything too abrasive on your brass, if you choose to use wire wool, it will need to be a very fine grade. You could end up scratching the surface and causing damage. Try using cotton wool or a soft cleaning cloth to do the dirty work and use another soft cleaning or polishing cloth to get a bit of gleam on your item. visit kernowfurniture.co.uk/blogs/news/how-to-clean-antique-brass for more detail.
How to stop a ceiling fan from shaking?
It is virtually impossible on some of the cheaper fans. There are special weights available at most home repair centers (Depot & Lowes) that work well on some fans. You can buy a good fan for under $100.00. Stay away from the $20.00 fan at the discount store. I have used pennys and super glue to balance a shop fan but I do not advise it. Hi: First clean all blades thoroughly and then measure each and every one from one spot to the ceiling at extreme end of both end of the blades. If you have wobble or looseness of any kind then get rid of that so your adjustments will stay where you set them. Once your blades are all in correct orrientation to the ceiling you let the blade run slowly with a old wood yard stick at mark just at where you set the blades for end height. Piece of white chalk barely sticking out and any fan wobble will show you heavy side of blade. Get a blade balance kit which often comes with the fan with full instruction. But if not!No worries, Home depots and such sell them. Use the temperory clip on and move it outward from inside until you find best balance spot then do another either right or left until wobble is all gone. Place permanent weights exactly behind the blades with self adhesive and remove the temporory clips. Bingo!!!!!! Hope this Helps. Jimiwane

How to measure the thickness of piece of paper?
The simple way is with a screw micrometer, just put the paper in, do up the jaws with the ratchet and there is your answer. I would measure in a few places and average the results for best accuracy. If you don't happen to have a screw micrometer you could get a rough answer by measuring a stack of paper (say a ream of 500 sheets) with a ruler and dividing the answer by the number of sheets.
You can only reduce amperage in a circut by reducing the number or size of devices plugged in to it. To make it easy, imagine you have a 120watt light bulb. Given your household voltage is normally 120v this would draw 1 amp, (volts X watts = amps). fifteen of these bulbs would draw 15 amps, the size of a commonly used circut breaker. The sixteenth light bulb added to the circut should trip the circut breaker or fuse to protect the wiring from overheating. If you chose to use 60watt bulbs instead you should be able to burn 30 of them before th breaker trips. Likewise if you needed 240watt bulbs, that same circut could only carry 7 of them.
How to prepare ppm level ethanol standard?
Use the absolute alcohol to prepare the stock solutions of known concentration say for example: 100 ml of 1 g/L of ethanol solution
1 g/L is equal to 1000 mg/L which is 1000 ppm. Otherwise the concentration of the 100 ml stock solution is 1000 ppm.
Next step: Perform serial dilution procedure to prepare the required ppm level of ethanol standards. For performing the serial dilution, u have to convert the weight of ethanol into volume by dividing the weight by density of ethanol. Density of ethanol = 789 kg/cu.m or 789 g/L.
To prepare 6 molar hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution, you would mix concentrated hydrochloric acid (usually around 37% HCl) with water in the correct ratio to achieve a final solution with a concentration of 6 mol/L. Always remember to add acid to water slowly while stirring to avoid splashes, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. It is important to follow safety guidelines and handle concentrated acids with caution.
How to save north south poles?
The North and South Poles can be preserved by reducing greenhouse gas emissions to combat climate change, protecting the polar habitats and wildlife, and increasing awareness about the importance of these regions. Conservation efforts and international agreements are also crucial in preserving the unique ecosystems of the poles.
How to calculate weight of Expandable Polystyrene Thermocol if density is given?
Weight can be calculated by multiplying the volume of the EPS Thermocol by its density. The formula is: Weight = Volume x Density. First, determine the volume of the EPS Thermocol using its dimensions. Then, multiply the volume by the given density to get the weight.
How to clean calcium build up on faucet?
You can clean calcium build-up on faucets by soaking a cloth in vinegar and wrapping it around the affected area. Leave it on for a few hours or overnight, then scrub off the residue with a brush or sponge. Repeat the process if necessary until the build-up is removed.
How to make sperm get into my cervix?
Sperm will naturally travel on its own into the cervix during ejaculation. To increase the likelihood of conception, you can try different sexual positions that allow for deeper penetration, remain lying down for a short time after intercourse to give the sperm a chance to travel, and track your ovulation to have intercourse during your most fertile days.
How to get dried soap out of clothes?
To remove dried soap from clothes, start by scraping off any excess soap with a butter knife or spoon. Then soak the garment in warm water and gently rub the fabric together to help break down the soap. You can also use a stain remover or laundry detergent to help lift the soap residue before washing the item as usual.
How to find positive on a magnet?
Well there isn't any positive or negative on a magnet. But to find North and South, you can suspend a bar magnet on a string and see which way it points, or use a compass. Remember that the North Magnetic Pole defines what Magnetic North is, and on a compass or a bar magnet the SOUTH magnetic pole point at it.
How to initiate affection with someone who isn't as affectionate and has been burned before?
It will be hard if this person has been hurt before. You will need to wait until they are ready and give them that time most importantly. You could try little things like hugs (if that is the start of your problem) and always ask if it is okay to do it. This will reassure them that you are thinking of them all the time and that you are concerned with their feelings.
How to find the mass of an object using the weight?
It saddens me to say how wrong the previous answer had been (he/she had recommended dividing the weight by 9.8, or to round to 10 and "lose accuracy")-- that it not the case. Weight is a STANDARD unit of measurement, NOT METRIC. Therefore, one must divide the weight by 32.17405 (approximately)ft/s^2, though 32 ft/s^2 is generally acceptable. Your answer for mass will have units of kilograms. Awesome.
In nerd speak (i.e. using mathematical symbols)
w = m*g ==> m = w/g
Where:
w = weight
m = mass
g = gravitation acceleration
==> = symbol used to denote a logical implication
**Units, units, units! Pay attention to your units! You MAY need to do a conversion-- you PROBABLY WILL need to do a conversion if you're still just doing algebra for your physics!
Another answer.
With due deference to the answer at the top of the page, dividing the weight by 9.8 will give the mass of an object. Weight is a force, the force exerted on a body by gravity, obviously there are metric units for force, mass and gravitational acceleration.
The mass of an object is measured in kilograms, force (in this case the weight) is measured in newtons, and gravitational acceleration is 9.8ms-2. So the mass of an object is its weight divided by 9.8ms-2.
Force = Mass x acceleration
Mass = Force/acceleration.
A weight (strictly speaking the force exerted by gravity) of 10 newtons would have a mass of
Mass = 10/9.8= 1.020 kilograms. For general purposes dividing by 10 is close enough, and in everyday usage mass is taken to be the same thing as weight, hence we say we weigh things in kilograms.
To divide by 32.17405 you would need to have the weight in pound-force, and the answer would be in pounds.
How to conserve flora and fauna?
we can protect the flora and fauna by protecting them.

How to prepare ammonium hydroxide solution?
You will mix NH4OH with water. To get a specific concentration you will need to calculate the number of moles required and covert this to a mass. Use the molar mass of NH4OH. eg. 100 mL of 0.5 mol/L NH4OH -> 35.06 g/mol x 0.5 mol/L x0.100 L Notice the units cancel to g. Obtain this amount using a balance and add water to 100mL.
