i think so, i personally am half prep and half regular goody-goody (i wear Holister and Aeropostale but dont wear clothes that are 2 sizes too small, act slutty, gossip, or backstab) and i have a bunch of scene and emo friends- then again im only in 9th grade so

Cause and effect might seem easier to prove objectively than motivation.

The caveat is that there are many possible environmental influences and many possible personal characteristics which may work in unison with an objective cause in impacting a person's behavior. Motivation seems more speculative, and therefore more subjective. But it carries tremendous weight in our legal system. Monetary gain, and revenge, are frequently sited as motives. The caveat is that monetary gain and revenge would not carry the same motivational strength for all persons. There are some aesthetes for who monetary gain and revenge could be more repellent than motivational.

In summary, I believe that Cause as a concept has more to do with compulsion--with compelling someone to do something, possibly even against his/her wellbeing.

Motivation, in contrast, provides some sort of perceived gain to the person.

Behavior is an series of interactions with persons, things, environment, and possibly one's own character. Behavior lends itself to change. Character is something that is partly innate, and partly the result of one's behavior over a span of time.

Being emotional typically refers to experiencing a wide range of emotions intensely, while being sensitive often implies being attuned to the emotions of others and easily affected by external stimuli. Being emotional can involve a strong reaction to internal feelings, while being sensitive involves a heightened awareness of external factors.

The mental aspect of an individuals personality cannot be determined until that individual performs some act i.e speaking or observing their behavioural patterns. Through these acts some conclusion can be reached. However it takes a qualified person to determine the degree of mentality of the person, also the reason for their degree of mentality.

Not being qualified to ascertain the mentality of an individual I can only guess that my answer may have some validity.

i am open to all kinds of music and like at least one song in each catagory, but i really like alternative rock and punk rock the best because i think, generally speaking, that that kind of music has better lyrics and it takes more talent to play a guitar, bass, or drum set, then it does to rap, or sing with a synthesizer
