There are many theories of personality, I am Freudian in my thinking and believe that personality is primarily a result of childhood experience, those from childhood form the base of our personality and in particular the interactions with our parent/s or primary caregiver/s will shape our sense of self. I will concede however that there are social and physiological factors such as culture and genetics respectively. I would also like to point out that I believe people can change, that they are not 'tied' to their current disposition. Freud, Rogers, Bowlby, Skinner and Winnicott (to name a few) may interest you if you would like more information, and a wider range of ideas and perspectives.

Motivation can make all the difference in the world - literally!
If one is not interested in an activity, then one will hardly bother to get one's body into action upon it. His/her mind will be far away from the job or requirement at hand.
Obviously, there are differing levels of interest and motivation towards achieving what one is called upon to do in life.
Generally, as one forgets oneself, and invests/sacrifices him/herself into/for the job at hand, one will start to lift his/her game and his/her efforts and outcomes lift as a result. On the other hand, as one becomes self-engrossed or a maker of excuses for poor performance, the motivation is more there in the direction of making these excuses than it is towards carrying out all on-hand execution necessary for an outstanding, winning performance.
A highly motivated person would be more eager to give a better performance than a lowly motivated one with the same skills. Likewise, a person who has less skill but more motivation can train to be better than another who has more skill but is not sufficiently motivated enough to put in 100% of effort.
However, motivation does not automatically mean that sports performance is increased. The source of 'big flops' can be a lack of motivation, over confidence or/and over motivation. Over motivation means that a person is so motivated to perform that he mentally outperforms his physical limits and flops.
There are a few meaning of "bad habit" when it comes to our self, it's a bad habit to chew our nails, it's a bad habit to put our feet on top of the coffee table. When it comes to our family, it's a bad habit to interrupt our parent while they are talking or it's a bad habit to put your finger inside your nose to clean. With a relationship, it's a bad habit to lie to our spouse or partner. It's also bad not to introduce your wife, husband or wife to your friends.
Bad habits are formed by doing something on a repeated basis until you don't realize that you doing it repeatedly or can't easily stop doing it. Bad habits are types of things that society would not view as a norm or would find offensive in nature.

In Eugene, Oregon it is legal for a male/female to walk around topless but they must remain moving.

Live life like you will die tomorow, dance in the rain, kiss under the stars, paint even if your hopeless, blow bubbles on the beach at dawn, drive until there is no road left and most importantly don't forget to love.

This world is temporary. The only thing that will never go away is God. So the best advice I can give a young person is to turn to God and focus their life on Him.

Stay informed by reading newspapers or watching tv news. Keep an open mind as news media are sometimes biased. Register to vote and don't let others convince you as to how you need to vote. Be informed on your own and make your own decision. Last, but certainly not least, ask God to help you with any important decisions. He'll help you find your life mate, as he did mine. Bumper sticker wisdom aside, I'd advise to: yearn for knowledge, seek wisdom, show concern, ask for help and direction(s), love always, be in truth, have willingness, be joyful, strive to better all you can: as you can, Call Mom-make Dad laugh/proud.
