carefully remove the plastic trim around the air vents under clock, with a trim tool. two screws will then remove that top storage door that the clock is attached to. the light bulbs are two plastic bases that screw out. they can be purchased at infinity for $17 each. the whole process took me less than a half hour, and i had never done anything like this before

Try switching from whatever fuel you are using now to premium fuel - I'll bet you get better results. Have a lot of customers trying to save money these days in their higher perf engines (Bmw, etc) trying to run mid-grade, etc, experiencing cold misfires. I'll bet that's whats happening here. If that doesn't do it, then your fuel pump is prob getting weak.

It's under and behind the glove box. You'll need to remove the glove box door to get to it and it sits in a black plastic box. They can be pretty expensive but sure make a big difference once you get a new one on board, especially if the previous owner was a smoker. Good Luck!

I've had to do it twice. Both cases at local service station. Electrical system check - $35 Alternator - $350 Labor - $150 Labor is a real bargain when you consider all the work involved. They have to drain the cooling system, disconnect lower radiator and transmission lines, drop the AC compressor just to get at the sucker.

Open Driver Door.
Get In.
Shut Door.
Turn ignition to the ON position.
(all the way, but do not start car).
Open Door.
Reach down with your left hand and
Press the door ajar sensor button (7) times.
(on Infinity I30 button covered in rubber)
Shut Door.
Start your car...
This should reset the airbag lamp and it will stop blinking.
I reset the lamp in two tries.
Keep trying until it works for you.

I experienced the same airbag light problem with my 1999 I30 which I purchased at an auction. I tried everything to reset the light except going to the dealer. Here is what I found after tracing the wires under the front seats; there is a Yellow connector under the driver's seat which appeared to be connected. I pushed it in to make sure of a tight connection & heard a click, then completed the reset procedure with above information utilizing the door light switch. Everything is working fine after 3K worth of driving. Found out later that some people at the auction will sabotage vehicles just to get a good deal & fix the problem after buying. This is exactly what happened to this one. Fixed at no cost, but a little time.

I have just installed a indash in my infiniti i30 1998. The amp and subwoofers work but the speakers in the inside of the car does not work. Did I blow a fuse or do I have to bypass the factory amps. The system that I took out before the installation was a factory bose system.
