Infiniti I30

I am not sure on a 1998. However on the 2000 I 30 it is in the gag tank and is part of the electric fuel pump. According to the manual it does not need changing

The spark plugs are located underneath the cover. These cars have individual coil, so you have to take them off first. After that you will see the spark plus. The most difficult ones are located in the back of the motor.

To reach the front spark plugs you must remove the plastic cover using a 10 mm socket to remove 4 bolts. You will now be able to see the spark plug wiring. You will not see the big fat ignition wires that older cars have. You will see 3 coil packs held in place by 1 bolt each. Remove the 10 mm bolt. Carefully grasp the coil pack and pull. Underneath the coil pack you will see the big fat wire that goes to the spark plug. The spark plug will be found at the bottom of a now exposed 6" deep hole. Using a 5/8" socket remove the spark plug.

Note about tools. Having the right tools makes this job easier. The 5/8" plug socket should have a rubber washer inside to hold the plug. The spark plug extension needed to reach the bottom of the hole should be tightly attached to the socket. Otherwise it is difficult to remove the socket from the plug. You will understand once you do this.

Put a small/(TINY) amount of anti seize on the spark plug threads and install the plug. Do not over-tighten.

The rear plugs coils are visible between the tubes that make up the intake manifold. The drivers side back plug was the most difficult. It was removable by moving the throttle cables out of the nearby clip. I was able to remove all plugs using a combination of a 6" & 8" x 3/8"ratchet extensions. In the back it was necessary to disconnect the wire plug attached to each coil pack in order to be able to move the coil pack out of the way. In the front I left it connected and swung the whole assembly out of the way. One final note. Do not drop the screws holding the coil packs. Good luck.

If you have already cleaned the throttle body and it has not cleared up the problem,then you may as well price out a idle control unit and an ecu(engine control unit).the idle control unit shorts out and takes the ecu with it!Ecu can be rebuilt,there are companies on eBay for $100 .

make sure the res- is full of break fluid

stop using 87 and use 91 only that's why ur knock sensors is activiated ok ur car has a high performance engine i blew my q 45 engine out by using 87

you will need to rent a strut spring compressor tool from your local auto parts store, first locate the top of your strut on the inside of your trunk, there should be three nuts located at the top of the strut..one on the strut itself and two on each side...second pull the tire off the side that your working... third compress the strut spring with the tool, then with a adjustable wrench hold the top of your strut, while unscrewing the nut on top with a (13mm or 14mm ) wrench...forth locate the bolt on the bottom of the strut remove it(16mm or 17mm)and the strut will come down....remove the old strut and replace with new one...re-install

dismount the a/c compressor

i have the same problem. with my car i have to turn the key slightly back towards me and it all comes on.

1998 i30 has timing chain. just confirmed from my dealer.

Yes, you may use non-premium gasoline (87 octane) in the Infiniti I30 from 1999 or earlier for sure. For the 2000 model year and onward, the compression ratio in the engine was increased and the manufacturer recommends higher octane gasoline (92+) for maximum performance and engine life. This will also prevent a "check engine" light and the engine from knocking under higher load.

* Disconnect the electrical connector from the IAC valve * Remove the two IAC valve attaching screws and withdraw the valve from the IAC housing * Clean the sealing surface and the bore of the IAC housing with a shop rag or soft cloth to ensure a good seal * Postion a new O-ring on the housing.Lubricate the O-ring with a light film of the engine oil * Install the IAC valve and tighten the screws securely * The remainder of the installation is the reverse of removal

The valve is located on the intake manifold support under intake manifold. It is attached to the bracket by a single stud and a 10mm nut. It has a single connector containing two wires. The connector has wire clip that you must release to remove the connector. The solenoid has three vacuum lines connected to it. There is a single hose on one end and two on the other. The hoses connect to metal tubes the go to the egr valve. There is a gold anodized bracket that holds the solenoid together. It is easier to access from under the vehicle.

the fuel pump should be located underneath the rear passenger seat but first you must disconnect the battery relieve the fuel pressure before you embark on removing it

More the Fuse cover will have the maps and type and uses and voltage u shouldn't have any problem locating the problem fuse if u have any

if you pull off the bottom panel on the passenger side. should be a black panel that hides all the crap on the bottom. you should see a metal plate on the far right side. next to the wall. pull the bolt and your ecm should pull straight down. just disconnect the wires and your good.

I have a 1999 I30 Limited and when the gas light comes on, I fill-up 17 gallons. Tank capacity might be 1 or 2 more gallons above that.

Honestly,.I would just have it professionally done.. You can change you Trans fluid /filter.It will take a special flush machine to do the job right. I have seen these jobs go for around $100.00. To me, its worth it.
