It is beside the transmission bell housing. Left side, towards the top. Remove bolts from front of driveshaft and let hang. Sensor is one bolt and one connector. Be careful.

It is also possible that the seat is just jammed. It happens to mine all the time being as I keep the seat all the way back. You should try nudging it the direction you want it to go while you hold down the button.
if you are having forward and reverse prob. look at lower right corner of the seat frame and see the motor that does this function. while sitting in the seat.. tap the motor while moving its button and you should free the motor and it will start again.. its a temp. fix .. but will allow you to access the rear bolts of the frame to remove seat if needed.. but the front motor is a easy fix if your handy. good luck Rick
Where is evap canistor control valve 2001 infiniti qx4?
The Evap Canister Contro; Valve is underneath the car by the tail pipe it located right next to the evap canister itself. They often fail if the get clogged with carbon from the Evap Canister when it goes bad. Make sure that you disconnect this valve prior to putting air in the syatem to blow out any carbon or you will break it. Disconnect the control valve tubes in and out and blow air from the engine compartment back and you will probably see alot of carbon, that is the most common problem. Make sure you gently shake all the carbon out of the valve, DO NOT USE AIR, and then put it all together. Just remember once you see carbon, any carbon anywhere there's a good chance you'll have to clean out your whole EVAP System.

There are 3 compartments that have fuses and relays. one on each side of the engine under the hood, and one underneath the dash behind the change holder compartment under the steering wheel. There is a fuse pulling tool to take out fuses and only replace them with the same wattage. depending on if someone has used them, there should be spare fuses in the compartment under the dash. there is also a diagram on the bottom of the change compartment and on top of the covers under the hood.

I have heard new ones at the dealer can get upto $1200 or more. The 2001 QX4s were nortorious for this CD problem. That is why when you see a used 2001 QX4 today, chances are you will see an aftermarket $99 Kenwood or Pioneer, etc. single CD player. Or, the existing Bose unit in the truck does not work properly. It is OK to go the aftermarket route but the radio controls on your steering wheel will not work. Plus if you have the Infiniti installed DVD entertainment center, it will not play through the speakers unless you have the Bose system. Good luck.

You can try spraying some wd40 in there to see if it is just binding but I think you will need a new door lock actuator for that side. Pop off that door panel and watch the door lock work a few times, if it seems as if its not moving far enough to unlock it then its a bad actuator.
