How do you replace battery 2005 Infiniti g35?
1. Open the battery panel door (located in the top left corner).
2. Remove the battery cover panel by twisting a flat head screwdriver under the round edge of each of the 5 plastic rivets.
3. Remove the white plastic rivet holder on the right side of the battery housing (easier to withdraw the battery this way).
4. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery (#10 wrench).
5. Disconnect the positive terminal from the battery.
6. Remove the nut from the battery lock down bar.
7. Remove the battery lock down bar. *There is a hook & nut
on the back of the bar which latches onto the back wall of the car frame. Be careful not to drop it when removing the bar.
It's a tight space and difficult to see so you might one to remove the top left rivet on the hood splash guard to allow for slightly better access.
8. Move the fuse box (directly in front of the battery) to the side by sliding it off its bracket, pressing the clip with a flat head screw driver. (forgot the picture).
9. Lift the battery, pulling it forward and tilting the top toward you at a slight angle (after moving the rivet clip and the fuse box there should be enough clearance).
10. Insert the new battery and undo steps 8 through 1. Don't allow any object (including yourself) to bridge the positive and negative terminals and when connecting the battery remember the positive terminal is first and the negative terminal is last.

Depends on where it is leaking. If it is leaking at the pan gasket, then try tightening the bolts to 20 lb/ft torque. If that doesn't work the gasket will need replacing. This is a good time to have the fluid and filter changed. If it is leaking at the seals then you can try a can of some sort of transmission stop leak. Any Auto Parts store can recommend one. May or may not stop the leak. If the leak persists and is more than a few drops a day, the transmission will need repair by a pro.

Why would a check engine light come on for a 2000 Infinity G20?
the light is a warning to you that something is wrong and your engine is not operating correctly and needs to be serviced soon. Most times there is a part of the emissions systems that set it off, like a bad sensor somewhere. You will need to get the CODES read. The codes are then converted to a diagnostic problem and then the parts of that system need to be analyzed to see which one is not operating. I will ask this....did you just recently get gas? You must turn the gas 3 clicks when you put it back on to make sure the correct pressure is in the gas tank otherwise you will get a check engine light. So go check your gas cap and if it is tight.........then you will need to take your car to a place liek Autozone and they will put a diagnostic scan tool on your car usually under the dash under the steering column and pull your codes. From there it is up to you where you decide to get it fixed, either by yourself or a garage. By the way after you tighten the gas cap you will need to drive some miles AND go thru a few stop and start cycles with the engine befoer the service engine light goes out if it was a gas cap issue. The light will not automatically turn off after you tighten the cap.

I removed the whole air filter assembly and used a long wrench to get to the biggest nut on the EGR valve. You might have to use some kinda spray to break it loose, but other than that, it was just another smaller hose and it was pretty easy.

I found a company called the c.v. man (thecvman@verizon.net). he has split boot kits for nearly every application, including infinities. I contacted him via e-mail and just placed my order over the phone today 1-800-338-2326. They told me that lube was also included in the kit. Hope this helps.

i do not know what you wish to know i think you need to know where it is. if this is it the easiest way to get at it is from underneath the car it is locate on the side of the engine that is next to the fire wall. you have to lift the car very high to get under it to be able to see it look on the left hand side of the engine near the top it is a round black item with a cable on it be very careful when getting under a car use heavy jack and stand for your safety.
