What kind of city was Baghdad?
Baghdad was a great economical and social hub for the mid east and other parts of the world. Founded in the 8th century by Caliph al-Mansur (r. 754 - 775) as the capital of the Abbasid Dynasty. My uncle has been to Baghdad before the war and during the war. He said that before (and soon after) the first gulf war that even with Saddam in power it was a great city and it seemed that people were fairly happy. It had so many cultural icons being once Mesopotamia and the fertile crescent, many of such have been looted and sold to highest bidder and sadly will never be seen again.

How did the US enter the Iraq War?
Organized Terrorist organizations have struck US soldiers and citizens numerous times over more then 20 years climaxing with 911. President George Bush and a lot of the American people finally wished to retaliate. We first struck Afghanistan in order to kill or at least disrupt the terrorist's primary leadership structure. We then moved into Iraq first to bring the fight there and second to take out Sadaam Hussain. Sadaam was a bonus, bringing the fight to Iraq was the primary motive though. 1. Our military strength and capabilities are maximized in the flat dessert environment of Iraq and are substantially less effective in the mountanous terrain of Afghanistan. 2. Iraq was available. We couldn't fight in Saudi Arabia as they are our allies but can't fight other Arab's. Somer terrorists were already in Iraq, the ones that weren't already there could get there easily and it was appropriate to fight in the middle east, the home of extremist Islamic terrorists. 3. Never ever let your enemy choose where to fight!!! This is a basic rule of combat and every good military commander knows it. If your enemy chooses the location of a battle, you call it an ambush. 4. Most importantly, we don't want to fight terrorism on US soil. Many innocent Americans would die. In short, we brought the fight to them and now have to deal with the callateral of creating a peacful and democratic Iraq because we have a conscience, we like to clean up our own mess and maybe if the rest of the middle east can see their Iraqi brethren prospering in democracy, they might want it too. Ultimately ending Islamic Terrorism completely. Thanks for asking.

deaths in Iraq continue and US deaths are rare in Vietnam.
Generally litigation cannot be taken against military personnel on duty in a combat zone. Please visit this website for information and assistance. JAGCNET, http://www.jagcnet.army.mil/legal
Please contact the nearest military facility and ask for assistance from the legal officer. I can't guarantee this, but I think you should have some protection under the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act.
Will the Iraqi dinar revalue like the Kuwait dinar?
The Iraqi dinar has been in process of change since the issue of the New Iraqi Dinar in late 2004. ....Central Bank of Iraq financial statements indicate that the redemption of the old Saddam dinar and the old swiss dinar came to a total of around 7 trillion dinar. ....Those same financial statements indicate that the Central Bank of Iraq has been expanding the paper currency supply each and every year since then, and the current currency level is well over 32 trillion dinar. ....One must also consider that their current broad money supply is around 70 trillion dinar(the actual amount that must be revalued). .....These actions indicate that the Iraqi dinar is in fact going to go through a re denomination, and possibly then go through a series of revaluations in returning to a place of prominence among its regional currency partners.
...The Kuwaiti dinar was not subject to a grand revaluation back in 1990, but rather the victim of a loss of confidence following the invasion of the country by Saddam Hussein. Savvy speculators did make a nice gain on the currency when the rate returned to its previous levels. ......But many of the tales just don't add up. .....One must take into consideration that even to this day, there are only about 6.5 billion physical Kuwait dinar in existence.
