I think so, but you will need a smaller belt. To find out thelength to your new serpentine belt you will have to remove the old one. I recommend taking a pic of how the original belt makes its way over and under all the pulley after the belt is removed use some string and fallow the same path of the original belt but leave out the air renditioning compressor when the loop is completed the string should be the length of your new belt. remember the tightener will be in the loosest position so deduct an inch to three inches to your string length to make sure your new belt fits tight.

If you're trying to remove the dash in order to install a new car stereo head unit, then follow these directions: The center dash (from the top it goes air vents, radio and the climate control) is all one piece. Pull from the bottom left and right side behind the climate control knobs. You'll hear a pop. That's good. When you pull the dash your releasing the clips on both sides. The dash should be off now. Then move the gear shifter back so you can take off the dash. It's very simple. Hope this helps. Pete

A quick search does not show any form of official announcement that they did name this truck after the tribe, however a simple look can tell you that they most likely did. Jeep made two different types of vehicles with tribal names; the Comanche pickup, and the Cherokee (SUV).

What's wrong with them? Are they stuck? (You can try the old trick where you slowly pour transmission fluid into the carburetor while the engine is running, taking care not to stall it. Don't do it near your neighbors, because it creates a hell of a lot of smoke). Are the valves burned? If so, then you'll have to pull the head.

There shouldn't be any mounting bolts to remove as such. The struts should just pop off after removing a retaining clip.

there is also two bolts per side on the top part {black part} of the strut the new ones have illustrations on the package just did mine today took about 30 minutes and a 1/4 inch nut driver.

number 9 fuse under dash

On my 90' 4.0l,it is located on the drivers side of the lower enine block,just above the motor mount. This is a 2 wire lead, there is also a coolant sending unit located at the back driver side of the head,this will be a single wire feed going to your gauge or idiot light, the 2 wire lead unit in the block is feed for the computer. Just pop it out :). There are little clips along the side of the bezle. BE CAREFUL they'll break extremely easy, but you can gradually just pop out one by one

I do not believe there is a fuse. The back-up lamps are controlled by the neutral safety switch located on the passenger side of the trans.

It is on the same circuit as the brake lights, but if they are not working, and the bulbs are good your switch needs cleaning or adjustment.

Attempt this first since the switch costs nearly $300 bucks.

On the passengers side of the trans just behind the bell housing there is a fan shaped switch, loosen the 12mm bolt ( smaller of the two, and rotate the switch while a friend checks the lights. this problem is usually accompanied by an occasional inability to start the vehicle, but can be cured by jiggling the shifter.

While adjusting the switch make sure that the vehicle will start in park as well, remember to block the wheels while testing the back up lights, engine off, key in run but not start, shifter in reverse, move switch until lights come on.

Once you find this spot, hold it in place and have your helper check to make sure it will start. This may take several tries to get both working correctly.

If you have no luck the switch may be dirty, this happens a lot. Hold the post to the bottom large bolt still while you loosen the nut, then remove it, then remove the 12mm adjusting bolt on top, remove the wire connector and pull the switch away, remove the bolts on the switch and separate the halves, use electrical contact cleaner and maybe some q-tips to clean all the copper connections completely apply di-electric grease and reassemble, refit to the trans and readjust so all functions work, this switch controls back up and start safety.

Caution! always hold that bottom bolt while tightening the large nut, this is connected to the gear adjuster and you could damage the internals if it isn't secured while you do it.

you can go to your local auto part store and ask about how to maintenance on you viehicle if they dont have one then try another i know they have them

Your engine may be running in open loop due to a defective coolant temperature sensor, which on my 1991 Cherokee L6 is located on the thermostat housing. This is different from the coolant temperature sender, which is located at the rear of the valve head next on the driver's side.

There are three O rings that leak inside the oil filter housing. The is a large T60 star bolt connecting it & yes it is tricky to get off because you will run out of room for a ratchet when the bolt come out a little ways so a specialty T60 hand wrench might be the ticket.

i had two codes which were neutral safety switch an tcm i heard the switch is the problem so replace it started it up lites went off for 10 min then came on again but the jeep runs fine it a 97 jeep country 4x4 4.0 i dont want to replace tcm there a lot of cash i dont have what should i do an thanks

It is on the throttle body opposite of where the cables hook on.

Yes. If you have a high compression engine you may need higher octane fuel, but generally most of todays vehicles don't need a higher octane fuel because everybody is trying to reduce Nitrous emissions and have lower compression. Always buy fuel at a place that sells a lot, and use the fuel that sells the most... typically regular. Using "fresh" fuel helps keep the injectors clean.

Jeep doesn't use a shut of switch. The fuel system is computer controlled through relays.

You should be looking for relationships between cylinders rather than specific numbers - there shouldn't be more than a 10% fluctuation between the highest and lowest

The thermostat is under the housing where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine.

Yes, you can, You'll have to do some fabrication to your exhaust though. Unless you can find a manifold for it, which will depend on your model and how much you'd like to spend. Be careful using it in mud or water, it can crack the turbo.
