Loosen the top two bolts on the power steering pump. then loosen the bolt in the center of the idler pulley (below power steering pump) looking at the engine from the front of car, locate the tensioning bolt at the lower left side of the power steering pump bracket.Turn this bolt clockwise to tighten belt until you get 1/4 to 1/2 inch deflection when belt is pushed in between pulleys. Tighten all bolts that you loosened.

Depends on what type of caliper you have. They will either be Teves or akebono, if they are teves it is 18mm and akebono im not sure i think 13mm. However both will require a 7mm Allen wrench as well.

Under the glove box, there is a panel, I think you need a 7mm socket. Remove the panel and there it is.

I just did this last week. I have a 1988 Jeep Comanche 4.0 V6. It's a lot easier than I thought it would be. 1. Disconnect your battery ;) 2. Remove the two wires attached to your starter held by a nut and a lock washer...using a ratchet, you may need to have an extender to reach these and other nuts/bolts. 3. Once free from the wires, there are two bolts (one pointing front, the other back) holding the starter on...take 'em off! 4. Don't lose the nuts and bolts! 5. That's it. Now you can either take it to a parts store to get them to check it, or, if you're careful, check it with your own battery and two wires (I don't suggest this unless you're steady-handed and know what you're doing). You can also now see the fly wheel and inspect it for damage now that you've taken off the starter. Good luck!

You don't need to take the center axel nut off to remove the rotors. Take the calipers off (two 13mm bolts on the back side) and the rotor will pull right off. If it's rusted to the hub you might have to bump it with a block of wood, but they usually just slide off. You only need to take that big center nut off if you're pulling the axel.

first do you have no eng heat low operating temp or no heat in side the cab? no eng or low eng heat repalce the thermostat no cab heat first check the hoses to the fire wall right side of eng (passenger side) check both hoses if one is hot and the other is not is a stopped up heater core flush with garden hose and try again if nether is hot or this did not fix it the impeler is probably worn off the water pump replace it if both are hot but no heat the heater box has a vaccum hose off or a door broken

According to the owners manual for my 02 Grand Cherokee Laredo you can tow with all four wheels on the ground after you put the transfer case in neutral, then with the engine shut off, put the transmission in Park. The key should be in the unlocked OFF position. This is found in the manual under the heading Towing- Recreational. I am guessing yours will work the same way. crank shaft sensor is located on the driver side flywheel housing. its easy to find just follow the trans shift cable up towhere it goes into the car body sensor is held down into the housing by one cap screw 12mm hex head. have fun changing the sensor,can be done but will require patents. that shift cable is right in the way.

Air moving through the radiator cools the coolant which cools the engine. Even without the fan, if you are driving in cold temperatures the result can be very dramatic on the temperature of your coolant (and engine). Car manufacturers are more worried about overheating than about cabin temperatures (same coolant goes thru your heater core) and they usually sell the same cars in all climates. Here is an old Michigan winter trick: try putting cardboard or some type of tarp or bra in front of the radiator. Watch your temperature gauge, though. It it starts getting too hot you might want to make it smaller or cut a hole in it to provide more air.

I asked a sunroof repair shop the same question in my area. I have a 97 Grand Cherokee limited with sunroof, and the weather stripping around it has deteriorated. Unfortunately, the repair shop said I would have to replace the entire glass for about $1000!!! If you find another answer, please let me know. Otherwise, I can live with it for now.

2.5L four cylinder: under the housing that the upper radiator hose hooks to. 4.0L six cylinder: under the housing that the upper radiator hose hooks to. 4.7L V8: under the housing that the lower radiator hose hooks to.

In order to access the 3 nuts to remove the mirror from the door frame, you must first remove the door trim panel. After your remove the door trim panel, disconnect the mirror wiring harness at the unplugging the harness located in the opening near the side view mirror. Remove the 3 nuts attaching the mirror to the door frame. Pull the mirror out from the outside of the vehicle being carefull not to scratch the vehicle finsish with the studs on the mirror. Reverse to install the new mirror onto the door.

FIVE STEPS AND YOUR DONE

I just had to replace my Driver side Mirror, I found it to be very easy here are the steps Approximate time: 15 minutes.

Step 1: loosen two screws you will find one in the hand rest area where you pull the door closed.

Step 2: take out the screw at the inside door handle.

now take a regular/ Flat head screw driver and slide it between the panel and the door find where the plastic pop plugs are get as close to the plugs as you can then pry the panel off the door, you should only have to do this around the front side of the panel.

Step 3: un-plug the electric connector for the mirror.

Step 4: Remove the nuts that attach the mirror to the door this will call for a 10MM driver socket and there will only be 3 nuts to remove.

Step 5 install new mirror in reverse order from above directions.

this took me 15 minutes to do from start to finish it is an easy job even for the beginner.

It may or may not, block heaters are not factory installed unless special ordered.

Just did it. Pull the grill - 4 screws. Pull the head lights ( Both sides for all lights) bottom part first they just pull out and disconnect the wires. Pull the side markers, top screw and bottom screw. Pull the turn signal 1 screw. Pull the clips holding the front bumper facia 3 tabs on top three on the bottom. Pop up the center first then the remaining part of the fastener. There are 3 tabs in the wheel well that also hold on the facia that have to come off. Slide off the facia. This gets you to the fog lamps. Unbolt and remove the electrical connectors. Install in the reverse order

If you have the factory installed anti-theft this should work:

put the key in the door, turn it in this order:

left, right, left the door will be unlocked and the alarm off.

you will need to do this every time you get in the vehicle if its locked.

I asked me dealer if i could permanently disable it, or if there was a valet switch under the dash, both questions NO.

If your alarm keeps going off even if you are opening the door correctly, have the battery checked, when the battery gets low it can cause the anti-theft to act wacky. Eventually when your battery goes dead you will not be able to dis-able the anti-theft at all, and will need to have it towed a dealer to get the computer re-programmed as well as a new battery.

I had this same problem on my 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was a problem with the O2 sensor. Check the wire and connector to both your o2 sensors {there is one before the muffler and one behind it}.

The new o2 sensors are expensive, to the tune of 80 bucks or so. The connector that plugs into the sensor got mangled somehow {the wires were too long and there was no bracket to keep them in place}. I ended up cutting the connector off both sides and soldering the wires to the new molested o2 sensor, then replacing the 20a fuse again for the 3rd time.

This truck wont run at all without it's o2 sensors in perfect working condition. There are too many other things it could be, but I'd check all your wiring and make sure there is no shorts anywhere.

If it is a factory (OEM)security system. Go to passenger door and lock/unlock 2 times to clear/reset fact security system. If your battery is weak or toast you need to replace or problem will continue .

The Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) is located at the lower front of the engine on the engine front cover, also called the timing cover. Through a use of magnetic pulsation, the CKP sensor provides the PCM (control module) with a crankshaft position signal. The PCM uses that signal to determine the spark sequence (firing order) for each cylinder. It also uses the signal to precisely control ignition timing and calculate engine speed, etc. Hope that helps - and Blessings!

* this is easy... first take the inside door panel off the door, and then take off the plastic insulation. Unbolt the old window from the regulator, slip the old window out of the door. you then place the new window in the door bolting it back onto the regulator, and there you have it a new window installed. Just make sure your weather striping is in the right place, you dont want water getting in. (If you have trouble getting the old window out, you can smash it. However, it gets messy and if you dont know how to take the old window out, how do you plane getting the new one in?) * You also have to remove the vent window to slip out the old window and replace the new one.

If this is a very small blinking red light and it comes from on top of the dash and not on the dash itself by the other guages this is probably your security/alarm working. This would be its normal function as it serves mostly as a warning to potential thieves that the vehicle alarm is armed and functioning. If it's on the dash in front of your steering wheel it may be an indication of potential mechanical issues that should be addressed.

The fuse for the speed control is in the main fuse block under the hood on the left hand side. It is number 20 fuse .To locate this fuse in the block, If the large fuses are on your right the fuse you want is fifth row from left ,fourth row down.It also controls the heated rear window and is a 10 amp fuse.

Sorry but, you don't know this one. There are 3 one on each manifold and one on the top of the catalytic converter. There about $200 each at auto store. Find them cheaper online. There are two, one right before the catalytic converter and one right after. The computer compares the two, and adjusts fuel accordingly. The front one runs a little hotter and tends to need replacing more often. However, save yourself the headache and change them both at the same time. Heck, you're already dirty.
