Well since it's an 07 you should have the owner's manual still. There should be a section covering the basic's. But since you have asked. Step 1. Collect the correct tool for the job.
Step 2. Locate and remove filter.
Step 3. Locate and remove oil drain plug.

Note: Make sure drain pan is in place for steps 1 & 2 to catch old oil. An also ware a glove of some kind to protect against hot oil. Depending on how the filter is mounted on the car you could prefill it it will help with startup.

Step 4. Replace oil plug when it is done draining.
Step 5 . Replace oil filter.
Step 6. Remove the oil filter cap and pour in the correct amount of replacement oil. 2007 KIA OPTIMA 2.7L 6-cyl Engine Code 2656cc CAPACITIES

It should be behind the glove box. You open it and then push in on the sides till it can be opened further ( it has rubber stoppers on the sides). Your filter is back there just push down on the clips on both ends and pull out ( careful I snapped one of mine off). Pull out the old filter and put on the new that's it.

The 2010 Kia Optima has 16 valves.

Many of this early Optimas have grounding issues that can cause the temp gauge to read higher than normal

i use castoroil but penzoil is also good. just make sure whatever oil you use to stay consistent with that.

......well, THERE IS cabin filter for the new(2006.5 and up Optima) So they might be older ones with it too. It is a regtangular shaped box located behind the glove box. You gently remove the stoppers on both sides of the box and allow it to hang freely on its hinges . Then you will see the filter assembly. The filter elememt rests sideways within a frame that you slide out by gently pressing on the clips at either end. You install by reversing the procedure. That's it, enjoy your fresh air......

The dealer wants $48 for one here in South Florida , I've seen them for about $40. with the shipping on the net .

All Kia Optima's can be fitted with the cabin air filter. The blower housing is used in other Kia and Hyundai models as well. The manufacturer uses the filter as a selling point for their premium offerings. On the Optima they simply fail to install a filter in the housing. The removable cover is still there. If you search hard enough in eBay motors you will find them. I paid $12. + $8. shipping. I recommend using the above instructions to get to the blower housing, then vacuum out the narrow area the filter slides into. Mine had accumulated leaves and tree bark from parking outdoors. The filter is effective at stopping debris from flying out of the vents.

Behind the timing cover, next to the crankshaft drive gear. Looking at this gear with the cover off, it is to the upper right, appx. 2:00.

Remove the 5 bolts securing the plastic mud guard underneath the radiator.

The red drain plug should now be visible. Take care not to lose the the rubber washer.

I bored a one in hole in the mud guard aligned with the drain plug so that in the future, I would not have to remove the guard, just unscrew the plug.

The 2006 Kia Optima has a 5-speed manual.

Check the fuse in the fuse box in engine compartment by the battery. There is one labeled High Beam. It costs about $10 at Auto Zone.

Vehicle does not have a cabin air filter

It means EVAP system Gross (large) leak. could be a gas cap not tight, purge valve worn out in vapor canister or vacuum leak somewhere in the lines to canister.

if no financial co will take your loan then yes.....but if they gave you the car usually they will get you financed by packaging several loans to lenders....like 10 or so some with risky credit........I once waited 3 months for Toyota to get me financed for my first loan.........you must have signed a loan before they let you take the car but if you didnt you can return it I did that one time the dealership tryed to cheat me on a used truck for a overpriced one....it was more than a 4x4 and it was a 2....with 1500 miles on it used by their sales dept..........I took it back 2 days later.............

I recently got a quote for my 2003 Kia Optima brake pads & rotors to be replaced in the rear and it came to $183 before taxes. This price is to replace both pads and rotors completely. Usually rotors don't cost much to be turned.
