The metal arm is located up and to the right of the gas petal. it is straight bar with an L on the end. this plugs into a white plastic piece that hangs of the black control arm. the white piece then swings around and clips onto the metal bar. this should do it!

the haynes fiero repair manual # 79008 electrical diagram on page 296 shows two small motors that control the flaps which direct air flow to the floor or defrost to the windshield or to the face vents for aircon. my problem is the air only blows to the windshield defrost. All the push buttons work properly and switch voltage to the different wires on the connector, So I suspect the one of the diversion flaps is stuck, or the small flap motor is bad. however the tear down page 126 does not show the 2 flap motors on the ac/heater/blower housing or any detail were they connect to the flap control levers. I think this looks like a major problem to get to these flaps and I just may cut a hole in the bottom of the blower housing to manualy move the flaps by hand to free them up rather than removing the center console and having to remove this large blower housing from under the dash board which connects to hot water heater hoses through the firewall and also the refrigerant R12 hoses through the firewall. Then I will make a plastic cover plate to cover the hole after I free up or move the flaps. I wish I had a professional mechanics drawing for this blower housing unit that would properly show all the parts, which I could print out on my 11x17 printer. wish me luck and I hope this info helps you. The starter is attached to the ack side of the transmission. It is very difficult to see from above. If you crawl under the car it is towards the firewall side in the middle. You will see the orange cylindrical oil filter and the starter is to the left of this. Your vision of the entire thing will be slightly obstructed by a larger bracket but you should e ale to see it from a side view and it has a sticker on it that says starter motor

passenger side air bag is activated by a sensor in the passanger seat, if it says "passanger air bag off" (or anything indicating its not on) there has to be a person heavy enough to turn it on, if there is someone sitting in the passanger seat and still says "passanger air bag off" there is a malfuntion in the system or sensor...
****there has been a recall with issues of 2003-2005 kia spectras with the passenger air bags, if that's the case its FREE to get it fixed at the dealer***

because your blower resistance is burned up.

The resistor is located under the passenger seat dash. You will have to remove the glove compartment to remove the resistor. It will make it much much easier. It is held in by two little screws. Should be a pretty easy fix for ya.
Just a little FYI here...It only works on high, because the resistor is not used when the fan is on high. It runs directly off 12 volts when the switch is turned to high.

Get a 4 Inch C Clamp Leave the Pad In The Caliper On The Plunger Side Open The Clamp Wide enough To Clamp on The Back Of Caliper and Pad. It should Easily compress. However, as these are rear disc, the emergency brake is connected as well. A C clamp will not work in this situation because the piston caliper is threaded and has to be retracted by turning the piston caliper with a special tool that can be gotten at most auto parts for around 10-15 dollars. Make sure the cap is off the master cylinder reservoir. Not difficult.
