I am a computer wizz so i know about this. Yes. Inside the disc tray dust and fluff can build up over time. Will the disc is spinning the fluff and dust is moving around which can posibbly cause a scratch on the surface of the disc.

Crackling noises and smoke generally mean something's gone wrong with the electrical system. The best thing to do is to shut down the laptop, remove it from the power plug, and use a vacuum cleaner to clean the vents to make sure it wasn't just hairs and dust getting caught in the fan or causing sparks.

Turn on the machine and check if it happens again. If it doesn't, carefully resume its normal use. If the sound or smoke returns, immediately shut down the system and contact Acer customer support.

Avoid its over-use and take that to the Company's Service Center as soon as possible, so that smoke and the noise doesn't damage your laptop's other parts!!!

You are probably needed a new powers supply/charger. I would first check to see if the power supply/charge is working by testing it on another computer. If you don't have another computer to test, try some local computer shops, they might check it for free. My shop always test power supply for customers for free. If it comes out to be bad, then you would need to order a new one. If it comes out to be good, then i would take a look at the battery. That might be going as batteries only last for so long.

it depends on what OS you are using but if you are using Windows just right click the main desktop screen and scroll down to screen resolution for windows 7 and for xp go to control panel and it will be under display options.

Speaking from experience hp laptops are not any good for serato youll find that if you buy a new hp it will work fine for say 6 months and then it will start to slow down alot. if you have not purchase a laptop yet and think apple laptops are to expensive it may be worth while looking at a second hand mac as the quality and consistency are uncomparable with a hp. I tried using a hp about 2 years ago with serato and it starting heating up very badly causing it to crash

This is quite simple, remove the rubber pads which cover the screws, these are just gently prised out with a small flat bladed screwdriver. Next remove the Philips screws, there are four in the top and two at the bottom.

Starting on either side of the display assembly, insert your fingers between the screen and the front bezel and work your way around. The bezel will unsnap. If you are having trouble, work it from side to side until it unsnaps. You may have to slide the latch open to unsnap the bezel.

You cannot move a TV show file inside the DVR unit to a computer. But you can record output from the DVR onto laptop's hard drive. Buy a USB 'video capture' device for your laptop so that you can connect DVR's analog output (S-video, composite or component for video and RCA or red and white audio) to the video capture device. While a TV show is played on the DVR, the computer will record it through the video capture device.

Try using the Fn key. Along the top of your latop are numbers. I don't know where it will be on yours but there is a button that changes the screen from lcd and sets it up for projecters.
