How do you turn on my wireless capability on my laptop Its a VAIO PCG7134M is that helps?
There should be a switch on the side somewhere. Then there may be something about pressing the function key & the F button that has what looks like a pole on it (F8 on my Toshiba). If that doesn't work, try the troubleshooting.
Try function key and F4 Key depressed together.
AnswerNo, that wouldn't be it.I don't know why hibernation would cause a touchpad to become unresponsive but ''function + F4'' is a keyboard shortcut to put your computer ''into'' hibernation.
I know exactly what you were referring to Chris, my friend just had the same problem. She clicked something, and suddenly, the touch-click was gone. It has nothing to do with the keypad dying, it
How do I make my laptop support 5GHz connectivity?
Very simply all you need to do is purchase a USB dual-band wireless adapter. Many are made but I have found the most successful for my clients has been the TP-Link TL-WDN3200. It costs only about $25, so very inexpensive to acquire. Once you get it, just install the driver and away you go.
One bit of advice, though: make sure that you disable the integrated wireless radio in your laptop so that the only one active is the USB adapter.
If you have any other questions, feel free to drop me a line. I'm always glad to help!

Check battery status for your laptop?
To check the status of your laptop, you look at the bottom of your laptop for the battery.
Look for the button near a row of LED lights.
Once you've found it, press it to see how much charge it has, but to check the health status of your battery press it and leave it pressed until the LED lights blink. The less the lights that turn on the better.
Why does your Laptops screen freeze when you try to watch hulu in full screen mode?
I had the same problem and after a review of various bulletin boards... no one seems to have an answer. But here is what I did and it seemed to stop it. I changed my screen resolution to 800 x 600 and then went full screen. Your picture looks more like analog TV, but it doesn't freeze.
Is there a shortcut for turning down volume besides Fn Volume down?
Some computers will have a slider built into the laptop/desktop computer that you can slide to change the volume, but other than FN, there's not really any shortcut besides manually changing the volume by clicking and dragging the slider.

Is there a Windows laptop available that has stereo audio input?
Real simple. Buy a USB head set. this will allow you to have a digital vs. analog audio which is much more desirable. If you by a headset with a mic it will also allow you to record audio with the ability to edit more quickly and easily with less static or the chance of the analog connector being damaged.
Answer
Yes! all of them do! go to radio shack to find the part to connect it to your laptop.
Answer
If you find a laptop with stereo audio input, I'll buy it too: as far as I can tell they all have only mono input. One way around this is to buy a USB audio adapter price around $100
Answer
Some do, but most don't. If a laptop has only 2 audio jacks, they're usually a stereo line output and a mono microphone input (mono only because a microphone normally has a mono plug; the input goes to both channels of the sound card). But if it has 3 audio jacks, that 3rd one is usually a stereo line input. Toshiba and Ac er are two brands I know of that often have a line input jack. I've heard rumors that built in sound cards in laptops have poor audio quality. I don't know if that's true (I probably wouldn't be able to tell, anyway), but maybe that's why a lot of them don't bother with a line input. So if high sound quality is important to you, and compactness isn't, then you might end up buying the external USB sound card even if you get a laptop with 3 inputs. One example of an external USB sound card is Creative Labs "Sound blaster Live!" ($45 at Tiger Direct). I have the older, lower sound quality model that preceded it, and I like it a lot. I use it to record mp3 files from my old Lap's.

Toshiba laptops
I have a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092, and I really like it. It has 1 Firewire port, and I have no problems with my computer. You can add a firewire port to your computer if it has a PCMCIA card slot. Just search for 'PCMCIA firewire card' and you will find a bunch of them online or you can get one from your local computer electronics store.
Most newer computers have them built in but it will depend entierly on the model#
ALL Apple Macs have built-in Firewire, as well as built-in software to edit movies (iMovie) and burn DVDs (iDVD). Side note: Firewire is an Apple-developed technology, but it is an IEEE standard (IEEE 1394), also known by its standard designation and other names, including i.Link (Sony).
You can also use a video transfer service to convert your miniDV tapes to DVD. StashSpace.Com has a free software you can use to import video from your miniDV camera onto your computer yourself with a firewire cable. Or you can send them your tapes and they will transfer them for you. Costs $7 per tape.
Where is the bios reset jumper?
The clear CMOS jumper, is usually located near the round battery in your motherboard. Look for a jumper called JP1, as this is the one you need to alter.
I can't tell you exactly where it is on your board, as it differs from board to board.
The best thing to do, is to check your manual, or go to the motherboards manufacturers website, and download the manual from there if you get stuck. (Where the white pci slots are located on your board, it's usually found stamped in between the slots, it will say something like Asus A7v of similar, from here you can google it.
If you don't happen to know your manufacturer, download a program called belarc advisor (its free), install and run this, and it will tell you everything you need to know about your pc.
Top right hand corner of the screen it tells you the boards manufacturer, and board number.
Hope this helps
