My first response is that you call a service technician. Diagnosing a problem with a TV now days isn't as easy as saying it's this or that. Sonys have several circuit boards inside them and narrowing it down requires a diagnostic procedure.
Today's TV's have a self protect system in them that if something isn't right, with just about anything in the set, it just shuts down to protect itself from further damage.
I just hope you have an extended warranty on the set or that it's still under manufacturer's warranty as repairs can become very expensive. If not, your best bet is to have an authorized servicer repair the set and not somebody from Joe's TV (unless he's factory authorized, of course), but you get my drift.
Sadly to say, there's more hacks out there than qualified repair technicians, so do your research before turning your set over. You'd be surprised at what I've seen in this industry, and it scares me.

Cant fault asus laptops, me and my friend both bought similar spec laptops, mine is asus his was samsung, he payed nearly twice as much with the opinion that he didnt want cheap Chinese crap that would break after 6 months.
Long story short his designer laptop has been mended once and then replaced, my cheap Chinese crap still runs like the day i bought it.

What is the profile of a computer criminal?
The typical profile given for a hacker is a young male, typically a loner, somewhat deviant, and who has poor social skills. But that is only a start and does not tell the whole story. Some are the self-styled mavericks, some are white collar professionals, and some are con men and scammers. So their motives vary.
According to taxonomists such as Marcus Rogers, there are at least 8 types of computer criminals. They are:

8. Cyber-terrorists - A good number of these are from Europe where they may have been a part of intelligence agencies. Their motivations are mainly political in nature though they may engage in criminal activities for income. They use hacking as a form of political activism.
