My name is Joshua Andrews,and the thing that motivates me and excel academically,professionally,first of all that I believed god is able to do all things if you put him first in your life.Second thing see my parents working so hard to give me thing i need for school,cloth on my back shoes on my feets,and a roof over my head,just that two things motivates me to work hard for everything in life All throughout middle school,from sixth to eighth grade,I always had the same group of friends.We all stayed in the same neighborhood,and were always together with one another.Every morning we would always walk to school together and then we would meet up to walk home from school,As soon as we made it home we headed straight outside to play football,or basketball. We all had many great moments together.All of were member of the football and basketball team. A few of us had moved out of the neighborhood ,but we all remained close with each other.
Then we all entered high school as young curious freshman.That's when many of us begin to slip up.I had started to see new and different side of many of them,that i never seen before,and didn't agree with.
Lots of them had quit playing sport and started doing activities with the wrong group of people.That put me in a predicament,where I had to begin to make choices that would affect my dreams and career.
Many of my friends started going out every weekend,They were getting involved with the partying,smoking,drinking and gangbanging.None of these activities were a positive towards me
As t grew up,I always promised myself no matter what I went thought or what what goes on around me.I would always stick to my morals and remain myself through circumstances.This was tough at the beginning at one point I felt like I was missing out on alot,and sometimes felt left out.
Even though i was under peer pressure,I stuck with my morals and beliefs, and continued to focus on my goals.
Instead of the partying,i focused on my schoolwork and being the best athlete that ,I could possibly be.
As i grew older,and the athletic seasons came around,I saw my hard work paying off.When the the report cards came out,and college scouts began to call ,i was being rewarded.I was proud to walk the hallways because I knew everything that i received I earned.During the whole time of staying focus.I found myself and knew Who I was.
I was respected by everyone teachers coaches,and including people.I don't know,Now as my tenure in high school comes to a close.I see that I'm farther ahead than those who chose to fit in.
There are many times i find those same friends coming and asking me for advice,on how I got to where I am today.
I am very thankful that god blessed me with the strength to stay strong and remain me.
That's what motivates me to excel academically and professionally.

Children who have a missing parent and are worried about it... or even children with a missing teacher who are worried about it... or perhaps children who live in a very military-minded community, such as on a military base, could be affected significantly by their home situation or about the deep concern in their immediate community.
If we're talking about children not in that situation though, or who have parents who never show concern about the war or about military personnel, or who live in an area where military concerns are background noise at best... or in countries where their government isn't participating in a war, or who have been taught to look at military personnel as just another job, like a policeman or a fireman, etc. I'm not sure how those children could be affected by such an event.
