I got a code for solenoid #1 myself and need to fix it.Most Stealers will sell u a new tranny, so you need to get all 3 solenoids and have tranny pulled then replace 'em. voila. back in business and don't have to worry about the other 2. do em all at the same time.

I have a 92 with the same issue. The check engine, trac light and traction control lights were all on. Engine would rev up to about 3 grand while in park then slowly drop to the point of stalling then up again. This kept repeating itself. While driving the car would basically have no throttle at all then all of a sudden kick in for a second then do the same thing all over again. I tried the average mechanic route but was not successful. Go see the dealer. I had to suck it up on this one. Ended up being the sub throttle positioning sensor and one of the O2 sensors. Cost me close to a grand for the diagnosis/parts and installation of each. Yikes
