Correct timing setting is very easy to set, but one cannot tell you what you must set it to, especially if you want to fine tune it. Because it varies between countries due to ultitude and sea level conditions. Best possible answer would be to put it back to what you manual says i.e 10degrees for an example



Timing is set by aligning the timing belt marks with the cam shaft sprockets and the crank pulley.

frist off need to make sure all 3 cats are clean and free flowing next thing is a complete tune-up(could be misfire codes causing check engine light to flash last fuel pressure regulator; pull vak line off regulator if fuel comes out of vac line regulator is bad hope this helps

You can take your car auto parts place like autozone, hilow, etc, they should have a portable computer to attached to your car and it will give them a code for the reason of the check engine light is on. It could be something minor , but either way your best bet is to take it to a mechanic that you trust, that has the tools to identify the problem. Don't let it stay on to long or it could turn into a major problem.

Answer: Just because they are expensive, doesn't mean they are safe. Much of the cost for a car like these is just for its name. The IIHS lists the Lexus LS rear collision/whiplash results as marginal, so it didn't make the top pick list.

i put seafoam in gas tank and oil. also i use restore when i change my oil for engine restoration.

Take the caliper to a machine shop and have the broken bolt removed or just replace the caliper. If you do not understand the bolt sizing, you are not equipped to retap the caliper.

Have it checked for codes. With out knowing the codes, you won't know what to diagnose.

It is found on the pass. side behind the dashboard under panel. You have 2 remove the guard under the pass. side dash first then then their are three screws you have two remove under the glove compartment with a 10m wrench. Then pull the guard forward just so that you can feel the ecm on the other opp. side remove the wireplugs a about three more 10m screws holdin the ecm in place an the ecu is yours.

If it is just coming on while you start the car and then going off while the car is running, that is normal. If it is staying on after the car is running, it could be that the cap to your gas tank is not completely closed. The cap has to click atleast 3 times when you close it. I have had this problem on mine before.

* Start by removing the air intake shroud that leads to the air filter. * Also remove the air filter shroud and the rube that leads to intake (gives you lot of additional room to work with). Just remove until the end of rubber boot * remove the serpentine belt

* remove radiator shroud (more room to work with)

* Remove the pulley no special tools needed

* There are two bolts that can be reached from front

* The rest of the two bolts can be reached from the bottom of the car, obviously u got to remove the protective shield. The second one can be reached from the gap between the fender wall and engine * Remove the flexible lines going from pump to intake manifold, and the pressure line bolt & return line into the reservoir. * Pull the pump out straight and you are free.

continue in reverse order to install. All tools are metric. it took me three to four hours to fix and get air out of the system. (it was cold outside)

Check the timing belt to see its off.. If the timing is correct them most likely you have a failed camshaft sensor..

Open up the hood, and go in behind the fixture where the light is located. Sometimes there is an access panel on top. Open it and reach down inside and grab the bulb's socket. Twist the socket a quarter turn counter clockwise, and pull out the socket. Grab the bulb, and pull it straight out. To replace the new bulb, never touch it with your bare fingers, as this will greatly shorten the bulb's life, if it even work's at all. Use a tissue or something else in that order to handle the new bulb. Push the new bulb into the socket, put the socket back into the housing, and twist a quarter turn clockwise to secure the socket into the fixture.
