First off, open Mac Photo Booth then make it so it isn't full screen by clicking the box with arrows in the upper top right corner. Next go to the final page of the effects screen. There are options for the user-designed effects. Now bring up google on the same desktop. Find whatever picture you wish to be the background. Now do a three-finger drag from that picture to on of the design slots. This will drop the picture into that spot and give you your own personal background. Have fun!

I am not sure if there are any other solutions, but the most direct one is to create a user on the laptop with the same user-name and password and the same access level (administrator/regular-user), as on the desktop computer. Then login as that user on the laptop and the files should be accessable. Also, with an administrator account on the laptop, you may be able to "Take Ownership" of the files on the external drive. If the files are encrypted and you don't have the password, this won't help. I don't know the effect if the two computers have different versions of Windows, a lot could depend on this. Kevin

On the very top of your screen, there is a little blue apple in the top left corner, click on it. After you clicked on that, in between Sleep and Shut Down there should be Restart. Then click on restart. If by "restarting like it was brand new," you mean you want to clean it up so that is has no information on the hard drive, no user preferences, etc., then you would need to reload the system discs and do a "clean install." It's not hard, but you would lose all of the information you have accumulated to date.

You may wish to check your system configuration such as installed RAM. Try troubleshooting the lag issue, is it only when you run 'Steam'? Does your Mac lag with any other applications?
