OS X 10 is redundant. It's either spelled OS 10 or more commonly OS X. Apple has had 10 iterations of the Mac OS, and they decided to use the Roman numeral X for the tenth. I'm not sure this is your question, but the company "Apple Computer" is a publicly held corporation owned by its stockholders and not by any other larger entity. Apple and Macintosh branded software is published and sold by Apple Computer. As far as the Apple software you may have, it is sort of "owned" by you under license from Apple. RAM memory chips should be installed in single chips or matched pairs. You can not put in a 1GB together with a 2GB chip. You can not put in the wrong chip speed, ie a 667MHz chip.
