First of all, let me congratulate you on using the only sensible type of computer! Now, about the mods. The mod needs to be in folder form. Next, go finder>library*>application support>minecraft and rename minecraft.jar 'minecraft.zip' and double click it. Rename the folder 'minecraft.jar' then go inside and delete META-INF. Install Modloader (drag all of its .classes into minecraft.jar). Finally, as long as your mod is only lots of .classes, repeat as with modloader.

*Command+shift+G. Type in "~/Library" and go.

To set the default browser on a Mac use the browser's Preferences:

The IEEE 1394 interface was created by Apple and is marketed as FireWire on their computers.

In theory you run a FireWire cable from the 1394 connection on your TV to a FireWire socket on your Mac and use some recording software to capture the HDTV signal.

In the real world things are never that simple. The IEEE 1394 interface on the TV is usually there to connect cable TV boxes rather than streaming HD content. File Finder enables you to quickly locate duplicate files on your PC. The File Finder looks through the drives and folders you specify for files that match based on file name, file size, and the date the file was modified.

I don't know why the mac would be beeping, but to remove the disk you have to restart the mac. Then once its shut off, hold down the 'left click' on the mouse or keypad until you can tell its starting up again. Then while still holding the mouse down, you hold the opition key. Do this for a couple seconds and the disk should come out, even if it isn't far enough in for the mac to read it :) I had the same thing happen to me and this saved me from a $100 bill :)
