With your mis-ordered or locked playlist in view, at the top of you iTunes to the right it should say: " View...Add to..."

Click the "Add to" button, your "album" grid should open with your playlist to the far right column, at the top of your playlist it should have your list title, amount of songs and the" amount of time" underneath

and directly underneath that, before your number 1 listed song it will say " Sort by: name, title, album, artist etc...choose "MANUAL" this will allow you to alter any of the songs or reorder them the way YOU want! then just click "DONE" and the windows will revert back to the playlist and ready to play!

I think that the new upgrades to the iTune players make changes like these and dont really offer easy quick explanations as to what they have changed about it, I hope this answers your quest!

Your system may have crashed at some point, but I doubt that will cause you to not be able to use it at all. Truthfully, when the fans run up in RPM, one of two things are happening, the processor is possibly 'stuck' and at that moment the fan was being accellerated, or it's getting too hot. Make sure the computer has space around it and isn't completely covered. It should have space to move air around it. Also, if the area you are keeping it in has a heat source nearby, that would be a problem. Macs (expecially the higher speed newer ones) create a lot of heat all by themselves. They need air circulation, or the processor will eventually have a 'melt-down.'

You can't install XCode or its SDK on the windows. All you can is create a virtual machine, install Mac OS X there and then install XCode and SDK.

The application Preview that comes with the Mac has the ability to extract an image from the background. The success of such a project depends on how "busy" the background is. A few clearly defined colours in the background will be easier to remove than a jumble of shapes and colours. Launch Preview and then Open your photo from the file menu. Click and hold on the arrow beside the Select icon at the top of the window and then select Extract Shape from the menu that appears. Click the mouse on the edge of the part of the image you want to keep and drag the mouse carefully around the outline of the shape. You can adjust the line so that it is a better fit if needed. Press return to see the result. If the result is satisfactory press return again to remove the unwanted background. Save the image with another name so as not to overwrite the original. Other software that can extract the background include ChromaKeys or Adobes Elements or the full Photoshop (See links below) but most image editing software will offer some masking and extraction functions.
