What are the cons of a polyamorous relationship?

Every person in the relationship is used to being surrounded by people who love them but as they grow older old start to die one of them is going to end up being alone.

______

I don't know what that was supposed to have to do with polyamory,...

But here's my take on it having been in the lifestyle for over 15 years with my wife and living in a full time triad for the last 4 years with our girlfriend.

Polyamory is a great lifestyle IF you have the mentality for it. It is estimated that less than 12% of the popularion has tried it, even fewer than that are sucessful. It's exciting, can keep your life with your partner vibrant and fun, but it's not easy by any means. You have to be able to separate the act of sex and the emotion of love, understand the difference, and always communicate fully.

The cons of a poly relationship are much the same as in a more traditional relationship really. The common misconception is that adding another person only doubles your problems, adding two (as in couples swapping) tripples them. It's actually a LOT more complex. Each persons interaction with every other person adds potential, so while there are actually triple the potential for issues between three people, it's actually six times the potential with four people. Understanding all this allows for a person to be better prepared for things, but it still comes down to human nature.

The worst thing people can do it not to be totaly honest with their partner/s about what they want, what they like, and most of all what they don't want. Rules are essential, and they can never be optional. You can change them as you grow and learn, but never on the fly. People without rules are typicaly the 1st to have a relationship implode. Next to that the most common bad idea is to try adding to a relationship to spice it up, or save it from decay. Most times these are people that have too much invested in their relationship to throw it all away, but recognize decay when they see it. unfortunately you're eaither going to reviatilaze your passio for each other, or more likely you're going to find someone/something more exciting and acclerate that decay. People change, desire fades, you never know if the next person you meet will bring new light to your life or be what starts tearing it apart. Pretty much like any relationship, just in polyamory people tend to be better communicators and more honest with each other on average.

Why do some wives stay with husbands who beat them?

Woman stay in abusive relationships for a number of reasons. These reasons could be fear, paranoia, worry, love, hope, and most of all they think the person will change. If someone is abusive they can change but you can't make them. Only they can change and some woman mistake the good moments for change. Some men tell woman they will change or they didn't mean it or even make them think they are over-exaggerating or even imagining it. Abusive relationships can be any type from physical to emotional to verbal. Women sometimes stay for fear of what might happen when they are in a new life. They might not want to leave because the situation is so familiar to them. They might be afraid to leave. They also might have children and don't want to subject them to a life without one parent present or the life of running and hiding. But leaving is not running or hiding. It doesn't have to be. If a woman or even a man is in an abusive relationship they might feel like there is no help or they can't leave or they have no where to go. It depends on the situation. Are you in a situation where you need help? There are people who will help.

Should you have a love marriage or an arranged marriage?

Love marriage is very good by comparing arranged marriage when when loving they will understand each other if it is a true love and will share everything and they wont behave like a men and women they will think that they both are same like a single person ... so love marriage is more good than arranged marriage

=======

Getting married for love is always good but the fact is that people change and people out grow each other. You might not always love the same person and if you're getting married just for love chances are it isn't going to work out in the end. Arranged Marriages last a lot longer and they usually do learn to love each other. They have taken in other things besides love like compatibility, financial stability, family situation, and a whole bunch of other things. Personally I don't believe in marriage(if i had to choose) as long as i thought the people choosing were going to make an informed decision and i got to contribute my input i would probably go with an arranged marriage.

Why should marriage be for life?

Marriage is a physical union whereby the bible informs that two are made one. This is a grreat mystery we are told but it is the way God recognizes it. For instance If one were to melt gold and then silver and then combine the two most throughly so to make the two metals one, the metals are said to be married. When a physical union occurs the same thing happens on a spiritual basis. A marriage ceremoney is necessary to obey the laws of the land, which the bible teaches us so to do. The ceremony is the official and memorial of the comming union. The ceremonoey marries two in the site of man, the physical union in the site of God. Now, all conubial activity outside the bonds of matrimony is called fornication or adultry, depending on whether another married person is involved. Fornication is a very sore point with God. He declares that every sin a man commits is outside the body, save the sin of fornication, when one commits fornication that one sins against their own body. Man may not hold one accountable but God does. He declares your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, a temple, and if one defiles the temple(grossness and ungodly activity) that one will God destroy. God is not slack concerning his promises. Free realtionships are hardly frown upon in this world anymore but make no mistake, if one sows to the flesh, that one will of the flesh reap corrupion. extramarital relationships are like this, "a man is tempted when he is led away of his own lust and entice, lust when it is finished bringeth forth sin and sin when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Hope this helps

Is 18 too young to get married?

As long as you are comfortable with it why should it matter? If you are in love with your significant other get married. You could get engaged for a year or two and then get married. which is the option I suggest. Im 23 and thinking about getting married, but I've been with my significant other for about 4 years and about to join the millitary. The decision is yours. Just some friendly advice. Why do you ask?, is the best answer for your question. Maturaty, not physical age is the best determining factor of whether you are ready for marriage. The fact that you are interested in knowing if you are too young, makes me think you might be second guessing a decision, and therefore, you should be cautious. Personally, I think 22 is too young to get married. I have yet to marry myself, and am in my 30s. I have had lots of opportunities, but just cannot decide that I have found the perfect mate. Until I KNOW, I am not going to settle. I would ask you, "What is the rush?" If this is the perfect mate for you, why not spend time together over the next couple of years, get some more maturity under your belt and then marry. If this person won't wait, they probably won't last either. I am now 27 and have just found the love of my life. I would look at how long you've been together. Is this more comfort than want? Is he your best friend? Do you still wonder what else is out there? I would suggest to wait. I sit and laugh about my past boyfriends and think..."I can't believe I would have married HIM" I thank my lucky stars that I waited. Good luck!!

Can a 17 year old marry a 25 year old?

* At 17 the person is considered a minor in most States and unless they have written permission by one or both parents to marry the 25 year old and you persist on getting married your parents can charge the 25 year old with Statutory Rape (having sex with a minor.)

So better keep it a secret and wait until she/he is 18.

How can you tell a marriage is over?

Relationships are mostly about talking to each other! When you have stopped talking, then I would guess your marriage is over. If there is any hope, you must speak up, even at the risk of getting a negative response. Silence does not solve anything. I would recommend that you read Meyer's "Marriages, Shack-ups and Other Disasters," or Bach's "How to Fight Fair in Love and Marriage." (If Bach's book is still available)

How do you keep someone off your mind?

  • Think of other things and other ppl instead. Try going out with your friends and new people. Try out new hobbies, whatever grabs your attention and just have fun with them.
  • The quickest way would probably be to fall in love with someone else, although this can be hard to do on command. Except for that, the best advice is probably to go out and keep busy. There are no miracle cures that I know of, it takes as long as it takes, so the best one can do is keep living and not spend too much time dwelling on it.
  • Get amnesia.
  • Try thinking of something else or doing something else. It also helps to go out with friends and having fun.

Is the marriage accepted if a Catholic gets married to an Anglican boy in an Anglican church?

A marriage between a Catholic and anyone outside the faith must get prior approval from the Pastor and Bishop of your diocese. If the marriage is in an Anglican Church (which could only happen with special permission from the bishop), then a Catholic priest would need to be present to witness the marriage. Under any other circumstances, no marriage would have taken place because by canon law, a Catholic must be married in a Catholic Church before a Catholic bishop, priest, or deacon.

Does your wife have an extramarital affair?

You can always ask someone to leave.

However, you cannot force your spouse out of your joint home without court involvement. If you would like her out of the home, you should file for divorce and request temporary and permanent sole possession of the home. State laws vary, but a spouse's adultery can sometimes be used against her in the division of assets and debts.

To find out exactly what you can expect in your state, you should make an appointment with a qualified family law lawyer.
