easy, pop out the battery cover and just pull it apart. When you reinsert the actual metal key you'll have to wind the spring 1 revolution to load it to spring.

The spring will have a small leg sticking out, place the leg into the plastic housing whee there is a slit. The wind the spring and snap the two plastic pieces together.

you should probably run a duster thorgh it and/or check the pipes to it with it running =there might be an air leak

According to my owners manuel, there is a hidden button on the back of the seat in the middle (in the middle on the right side on the driver's seat and in the middle on the left on the passenger's seat) and you push that and it should come out. And I think the headrest may have to be all the way down for that to work. Hope this helps.

2 go to mph display in the cluster

3 turn key to off position

4 turn key in # 1 position

5 press trip odometer knob three times (QUICK) voltage will appear on display

6 select Down Arrow (shows service menu)

7 select confirmation using -

8 Press the right menu systems button

9 full service will be highlighted

10 Press and hold right menu system button until service confirmed message appears

Fuses are under the hood, behind the little door left of the dashboard with the door open, and under the rear seat.

Check for fuel first. No fuel probably means a bad fuel pump. Check for spark, no spark could be a bad coil pack or distributor issue.

There should be a special tool located in the tool kit of the car, check the owners manual for correct operation. you just need to insert the tool in behind the headrest and release the catch lever, and then push the headrests back down to the normal position. you must be facing toward the back of the car once in side the car the catch lever are on the left hand side of each head rest the catch lever is very gentle to push down but very hard to locate the long tool must be place at the side of the head rests

With a properly maintained vehicle a timing chain (not a belt) will last a very long time. Up to 30 years.

You can buy them from Napa Auto parts for around 75.00.....they have a great warranty also. Do you know were to look for the battery, we had a hard time finding the thing to replace it. It was under the back seat. Just thought I would add that.

The air filter on a Mercedes e200 is located at the front of the engine compartment. It is inside a box which attaches to the air intake.

About 10,000 miles, or one year. Whichever is sooner between oil changes. It's about $129 plus tax, and yes, that is about the same price at a MB dealer as a "oil change" place. Just go to the dealer, they will use Mobil 1, and maybe give you loaner car.

This could be an automatic response from the computer putting the car into what's called "limp-home" mode so you don't blow the engine or tranny because there's something wrong. MB does think of a lot more than other cars. Time to take it to someone (like a dealer) who has the computer diagnostic hookup. The "limp-home" mode should be described in your owner's manual.

The tool that you will need, is a screw driver flat, phillip and a 8 mmm socket. Remove the screws from under neat the cover. The cover is held on by clips. using the flat head screw driver, slide the flat head screw driver in between the hard plastic and cover to remove the clips, work your way around the cover with the screw driver. and then pull down on the cover, the cover will drop down, To remove the switch, depress the clip on the side of the switch and rotate it 90 degree, the switch will pop out. out.

To the best of my knowledge, as an owner of the E class, the filter and the sending unit are contained IN THE FUEL TANK; hence the reason for the $300.00+ charge to change it...
